Hello All
Today I was thinking about setting a goal for myself. I have been having trouble staying focused on the big goal (lose 30 pounds) so I am thinking that setting a smaller goal may help. My goal date is Mother Day, May 11th. I want to lose 8 pounds by then, which is in 20 days.
Losing these 8 pounds will take me from the 180's to the 170's, which really excites me.
I also thought it might be helpful to work along side others. So anyone who is interested can join along.

Hello! I think it's a great goal. I'd like to join but I'm going to shoot for 6 pounds, which I'd be extremely happy with. That'd take me from the 160's to the 150's! Thanks for posting this idea! Good luck! We can do this! :)

I'm all in, even tho Im kind of at a plateau right now, 8 pounds would take me to the low 120's which is better for me but not my goal, My goal is to lose 15 pounds by June 30th:)

So far so good. I have felt motivated all day. My approach will be no eating, absolutely none except for at the designated meal times (breakie, snack, lunch, snack and dinner).

I am feeling pretty motivated. All has gone good. Today I went to a Asian restaurant and I had no idea about the caloric values of anything. But I looked around on line and I don't think I did too badly.

I made it to 184.
I have been stepping on the scale each morning. I have found that it keeps me totally in the know. If the scale changes then I know I have either done something good (stayed on track) or bad the day before.
I've lost 1.5 lbs so far (putting me at 204.75)! :)
Yesterday was a very hard day for me. Usually, I just forget about my diet on the weekend and eat what I want. But along with eating what I want I end up gaining some of the weight I worked so hard to lose. So yesterday, I didn't want to let go but I did all at the same time.
I ended up sticking with my calories but for the first time I ate the calories that I burned during my workout. After those extra 200 calories were gone I stopped eating. This morning I woke up 1.5 pounds heavier. It was very disappointing to see those numbers.
So, today I vow to stick to my base calories. I will drink lots of water and even jump on the bike for a bit. Then I will have to see where I am at tomorrow am.
I am in, my weight is 176 today.
okay, so i've finally lost one pound. counting calories has like, resulted in me eating MORE than i used to...so i think thats why it took so long...
