How much did you lose before people started noticing?

Quote  |  Reply

I've lost 10 lbs already and no one has said a thing.  I think it's a noticable difference, but have gotten no remarks or anything.  Maybe people are just afraid to say because it's a delicate subject??

How long before people started noticing for you?

Id like to know when people start noticing to.

I lost about 20lbs (125 to 105) and noone has even really noticed!!

Ugh, its kind of frustrating really.

I just talked to my boyfriend about this, he said more people would notice if I didn't wear 5 shirts all the time (I like to layer), but it's noticable to him.

He also said he noticed that 2 of his cousins looked like they had lost A LOT of weight when he saw them over Christmas, but never said anything. Come to think of it, I noticed too but I wouldn't say anything either. I guess thats just how it is.

Yeah I think a lot of it IS just a case of people not knowing if they should comment or not. Who knows who could take it the wrong way? I went out one weekend and I had a waist-band tight around my waist (to try and show the definition in it lol) and a girl I hadn't seen before was complimenting me all night on what I was wearing and how good the waist-band looked but didn't mention anything about weightloss. So I think she kinda noticed but chose to express it in a more cautious way.

My start weight was 487 and I have lost 96 pounds and still only a few have really noticed so feel blessed if people notice at ten or twenty, Iknow it is different when your smaller but it hurts a little when you are working so hard and not many notice. It is nice to those who do though, I greatly appreciate them.

Earlier this week, I got to 20lbs lost!!

Yesterday, someone said to me "I saw you walking around campus the other day and I thought, you look thinner. Are you losing weight?"

That made me SO happy : )

Also, at the start of the semester, one of my closest friends said, your face looks different now (this was after about 10lbs lost)

This might be because they thought you looked fine before and now -- not so much and they don't want to hurt your feelings.

i lost 4 pounds and my boyfriends mom noticed.  It comes off my face immediately so I think that's why

Dont worry about what people say, think about how good you feel in your jeans!! :-) Some people will never notice, especially if they see you everyday!

I've been at this for about 6 weeks now and started out at 168.  I'm not weighing, but I notice changes in how my clothes are fitting.  I don't feel like I really LOOK any different though.

Well last week, a friend who I only see once a week asked me if I had been working out.  Then yesterday someone at work who's been out 2-3 weeks said it looks like I'd lost weight.  Feels pretty good!  It makes me curious to know how much, if any, I've lost. : )  I wonder!  It also makes me excited to think that I could look even more different when I go out of town in 3 and a half weeks...
