I am 16 years old and about to go into my junior year of high school and I am ready to shed some weight. I love being active and I am going to run 30 minutes a day or if everything works out join a swim team and exercise that way. i am going to eat 1800 calories and just feel better and be fit.My goal clothes wise is to go from a size 10 to a size 8.

I'll join I'm 16, 171 and 5'9" planning to lose about 20 before September/October


I do about 10-20 minutes cardio a day and occasionally something else like weights or sit ups.


A tip for you is not to do running everyday its too much do 40 mins 3-4 times a week so you dont strain yourself or get bored.

I am 21, 5'5  and wanted to be my ideal normal weight of 140 for september!! To be honest I am doubting myself a lot and don't think it's possible but HERE I GO. I just can't be saddened if I don't, I have till next spring to get into a bikini :D

I do 20 minutes of jogging/walking at least once a day for a week now, god it's hard ... it's more like walk 1 min then jog 1 min ...

I jog on my own during the day and then do it again with my sister because she needs to lose the weight bad (she's 11 and got to 195) EEEK! It motivates me more than anything though!

I'm currently 172-174lbs (was 181lbs 5 weeks ago) and want to lose 20lbs by September and be around 150lbs because I'm going on my first ever proper holiday!! Going on a plane!! Never been on one before Embarassed and I cant wait.. I want to look good in the holiday snaps Laughing

I usually do 3 days of Aerobics (30 mins) and 2 days of trampoling (30 mins).. but slacked last week and only did 2 days of aerobics Undecided so back on track now!!

Im 18, 5'5, i weigh 168 pounds (177 when i started here) ..wow it feels weird to know that i've actually lost weight! I'd like to lose 20 pounds by Sepetember!! hopefully be under 150!

Anyways i go on daily walks for about 30 min, and i teach swimming (which i try to incorporate some exercise which teaching)

I have lost 6.5 pounds in 9 weeks..ive went from 160.5 to 154..I am 5'2 and 18 years old.  My goal weight is 120.  I alternate between a dancing with the stars video, a 30 minute workout that I found online, and walking 30 or so minutes.  Plus, most every night I do 100 crunches.

My support system mostly relies on my boyfriend, and people on this site.  I was so happy when I figured out I lost 6 pounds and have been doing really good for the last couple days.

I pledge hesitantly. In the past I've tried to join "groups" like this but not talking to them every day makes me lose interest and I quickly lose motivation to lose weight.

I started in January at 199 and I'm currently 173. I hope to be at 150 by September and ultimately 125 by my 18th birthday in December, possibly 120 by January, I'm 5'6. I'm currently very motivated to lose weight and I hope the motivation doesn't fade. After I reach my goal weight I plan on toning and hopefully be confident enough to wear a bikini next summer!

ok you guys so I think this will be really fun and we can support each other throughout our weight loss journey. so how about we weigh in on sundays. sound good?

I'm 18 and hoping lose at least 20 lbs by September for the new year of University. I've been doing 30 minutes cardio 3 times a week, with light strength training on the days between.


I definatly want to know how people are coping with losing weight too.

I will report every sunday! To be honest I just got into a spot of bother with debt, and I wanted to "reward myself" for reaching weight loss goals but OH NOES I have not the money to reward myself =\

Anyway, to be honest I realized yesterday I have a bit of excess skin, so now I'm terrifyed to lose more weight because it if does turn out to be something awful, I'll probably cry ...

But I still wanna lose it ...

try toning up your mucles to get rid of that excees skin. for the stomach do situps, crunches, planks, anything that will tighten though core muscles. for the glute and thighs do squats, jumoing squats, wall sits, basically any type of leg moving reps.

so everyone how have we been doing. I have found it challenging these past 2 days to count, and make sure I exercise and don't go over my limit. water is a big help, along with tea and splenda.

My main weakness is french bread omg it so yummy, but my portions = way... smaller.

well pretty good..today I had to eat at mcdonald's..and then i had popcorn shrimp a few fries and hushpuppies..but only ate half the plate... ahh well I'd been doing good for a few days...and I checked this morning..and I lost 2 more pounds..

omg thanks malissa! I didn't know if it was helpless or not, I got jogging usually daily and I think that hels out the thighs a bit, but not on the upper inside, my arms are mostly problematic.  But I just realized, to lose 20 pounds by sept, doesn't that mean like, at the very least 1.5 pounds per week? and if something goes wrong then all bets are off? At the moment I would really like to lose it, and I'm working really hard, but I won't cry if I don't ...

Kayla ... I hope having to eat mcdonalds didn't ruin anything for you :( I ate at my grandmothers the other day and gained 2.5 pounds >:S??? then the next day I had humpty's because I had the worst day and lost a pound ...

so its making me gloomy . aka. i always feel like snacking

my daily walk back from work (roughly 30 minutes) is getting easier and easier. and listening to itunes helps big time!!!

so i dont know about you guys, but i want this to be my lifestyle forever!!

du57y : with excess skin! ..just exercise / tone tone tone!! you need to tighten your skin in order to prepare for weight loss. Some people find maybe firming creams work. And good luck with your money issues! Try rewarded yourself with something that doesnt involve spending money, like catching up with an old friend, or giving yourself a manicure (at home) :)

iamkayforever: you ate mcdonalds and lost 2 pounds amaazing!!! what did you have at mcdonalds? Everytime i go there i always get the cone icecream for 230 cals.. i cant resist!

lol I checked my weight that morning..so i could have gained it back..but i've been cleaning for like two days..so hopefully not..I had a new southern style chicken sandwich, fries, and a mountain dew..

I have trouble with eating out and staying in my calorie intake because I don't eat salads and things

Hahaha I went up 2.5 pounds then down 1 then down 1.5 so now I'm again at my all time low for this current diet (last time got a few lower then shot up 30 pounds) tomarrow I expect to go down again ... if not I am sad panda.

Started my new job this week, I always find being at work (so long as there's no doughnuts) makes maintaining the diet easier if I bring a packed lunch, I bring so little ... and occasionally don't get all of it eaten because i'm trying to get work done.  Few events have caused my week to be terribly stressful and depressing and especially today, very full of angst.

Oh today was amazing! For my daily jog, my lungs are much better in shape now, I used to get out of breath when I started but now I can keep going because it's just my legs that get exhausted and not as bad as in the beginning either.  I feel so fit!

Kayla, for some reason I can eat out at restaurants once or twice but I just got into the mindset that mcdonalds and burger king are off limits, or any burger and fry place ... which I think is a good thing.  But you should really try pita pit or extreme pita, it's SO tasty for a garden pita, and with just a bit of tsaziki, it's great and also stays way under.  Or if anything, perhaps subway ... There are tasty things other than mcdonalds :(

loseweight, I try to jog and stuff ... I figure since I'm only 3/4 months in then I shouldn't really be worrying about it, I'll do what I can.  I'm also from canada, but southern alberta, you're prolly from BC or the maratimes? ... Oh gawd I don't want to be this way forever ~.~ well ... bits aren't so bad, namely being skinnier, I'd just like to eat out once in a while, at least once a week. Whatever I want.

On Sunday when we weigh in should we post what the weight was the sunday before as well?

 

 guys having been doing really great. My eating could be better but i have exercised onsitantly for 30 min so im excited. But everyone I am so glad that we all have done this and through our up and downs it is really satisfying to know that we can all be here for each ohter. so thank you everyone!

Can I still join?  I am 28,  5-7 and 145, would like to get down to 125, but has been hard since having 2 kids.  I am at 1500 cals a day, and I am trying to elliptical 4-5x a week.  Today I had 1560 cals, so I will count that a win for today.

Hey everyone so this morning wasn't too great. I gained a pound, and was very upset about it. i really want to get out of the 170 marks,  and its just been killing me. id be happy to go from 177 to 165. so im shooting between 1700-1800 cals and today i rode my bike for ann hour. i guess i'll see what the scale says tomorrow.
