hi i was the one ranting about massive exercise but need to erase it!!        ;       &n bsp;      

so :though i know you've got tonnes of advice im gonna throw my penny in. you wont like it as its not a direct answer to your question BUT it is really not a good idea to shed weight fast- your body doesn like it and ultimately you end up paying for it in weight gain. i think the max this site reccommends is 1kg or 2.2lbs........... so to do things smartly you need to keep cals at an appropriate level 1300-1500 (min) and exercise to the tune of about 500-600 cals on top of your sedentary metabolism (generally 1600-1800 in women)

now thats a big enough deficit, and thats the fastest you can lose weight at without depleting glycogen, interfering with repair and muscle tissue (which you need). and i would say you will find yourself quite tired and drained doing thi. but its probably the most at the fastest rate HEALTHILY.

trust us on this or you will later end up posting a "i cant stop binging.....HELP" on the health and support forum      &nbs p;       & nbsp;      &nbs p;       & nbsp; 
Would you kindly rephrase what you are asking as it appears you are lkooking for the wrong way to lose weight safely and will be open to sarcastic comments and posts which I am sure you do not wish.

I think what everyone's trying to tell you is that losing weight fast is a bad idea....  Lose weight fast and you risk making yourself quite ill.  Severely restricting calories means you can end up with a poor diet, nutritional deficiencies and putting your body under stress.   And the biggest problem with crash diets is that they lead to equal and opposite crash gains... often making you fatter than when you started.  If you've got a lot to lose it's better to work on changing your diet and exercise habits more permanently.

If you want to lose a few pounds quickly to fit into a dress you could eat nothing but fruit & veg and drink water for a day or two, for example... but the effects will only ever be temporary

I don't know how to lose weight fast, but I Do know how to lose weight.

What does this site suggests you eat? Go into Tools and click on "Calorie Target". Put in your information and see what the site suggests.

I am always guilty of writing something and having those reading it take it a different way. The BIG problem with the net is people can't see how you express your words.

 Well assuming that with the exercise your burn meter is about 2500 cals per day, and you eat 1550 cals per day. Your deficit will then be 1000 calories, which is roughly 2 lbs a week.  This is really the highest amount of weight you should be dropping per week, and still doing this weight loss thing as a healthy thing without losing muscle.  Also, having a deficit over 1000 cals per day is unrecommended as it is no longer an optimal weight loss. 

Are you not losing at all, or just not as fast as you would like?

First culprit when the "math" doesn't seem to work out: you might be underestimating portions or guesstimating calories, or not being scrupulous in your reporting. This is very common and is generally what's responsible for people not losing when they "should".

Second culprit (less likely but possible): you are eating too little and your metabolism has slowed down to compensate.

and it tell me i should eat about 1450 a day to get to my goal of 135 by october 2008

Hi "Belle".  I clicked on your forum to ask what I can do about getting below the weight that I seem to be stuck at. I came down from 216 to 204, but I can't seem to get below 204. I've been working out at the gym every Mon - Fri after work for the past few months. Any advice?

well the only thing i am thinking is just make sure you watch your calorie

I have worked on my weight since January 25th, 2008. I am down 10 pounds since then and here is how:

First, I recommend you “Google” and read up on anything unknown to you on this list. It is not an exact science or endorsed by anyone but myself.

Lean protein

Egg whites

Turkey (ground, or low sodium slices)

Chicken

White fish (cod, tilapia, etc.)

Low-fat dairy (milk, cottage cheese, yogurt)

Whole-grain carbohydrates

Oatmeal (AM)

Steel cut oats (AM)

High-fiber cereal (AM)

Quinoa (Best when prepared with veggie or chicken broth and add veggies)—Once cooked, you can eat cold or hot]

Couscous

Brown rice (long-grain)

Multi-grain bread (the higher the fiber, the better)

Multi-grain wraps (the higher the fiber, the better)

Fruits & Veggies

Apples

Bananas

Blueberries

Strawberries

Pomegranate

Kiwi

Pineapple

Spinach

Broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, collard greens, kale, etc – all are cancer fighting/cruciferous veggies that you should eat at least every other day.

Asparagus

Tomatoes

Green beans…the list goes on – you cannot go wrong with veggies

Good Fats

Salmon

Olive or canola oil

Almond butter

Snacks

Nuts (almonds, pecans, walnuts)

Dried fruit (figs, prunes, cranberries, blueberries)

Meal 3 – multi-grain wrap with grilled chicken, roma tomatoes, cucumbers, sprouts, mustard or hummus

Meal 4 – multi-grain bread with almond butter; grapefruit

Meal 5 – grilled tilapia with lemon; broccoli; side salad (make your dressing out of olive oil, 1 or 2 types of vinegar, Dijon mustard and Italian seasoning

You can lose weight fast by following these 3 step (I've lost 7 pounds in 4 weeks this way):

1. Drink lots of water

2. Balance your diet and eat at least 1200 calories a day

3. Each day, create a negative calorie deficit (about 500) between the amount you eat and the amount that you burn. For most people, consuming 1500-2000 calories a day should do it (depending on the intensity of your workout).

You should lose a quick 1-2 pounds a week. If you lose weight any faster any other way, it isn't fat pounds your losing...it's water and muscle.

Fast is not good.  Fast = rebound weight gain.

 

Think permanent lifestyle changes.

 

Think permanent weight loss.

 

I would never advise someone to "lose weight fast".  That's always a recipe for misery in the long run.
