well I started at 220 and I am now 179 and have no hanging skin.. you can get to 160 it will just take hard work and time!!!!
hi SLEEPY .. I just looked at your profile?? Are your from ONTARIO CALIF? I grew up there and moved away in 89.. I was back there in march!! OHHHH how it has grown....
sleepy - what kind of hard work?  I am also really worried about ending up with loose skin.  Are you talking about weight training exercise?
I plan to lose 90 pounds... I'm at almost 30 of it.

This is my second time losing the major baby pounds... the first time I went from 243 to 179 with no hanging skin.

I think hanging skin is a big problem for those who have weightloss surgery, and I know one woman who is having surgery because she lost over 200 pounds with no surgery.   I think you could lose that 80 pounds, drink plenty of water, and be careful about lotion and do just fine.
It depends upon your age. If you are in your 20's or 30's it is most likely that your skin has not lost its elasticity and you'll be fine. If, however, you're older than that you may have problems. Exercise is important.
my goal is 150lbs -- a 62lb weight loss.

I started jan 2/07 at 212lbs.

I'm down 36lbs to 176lbs, and no hanging loose skin (yet??)

I've hit 2 killer plateaus...1st at 179lbs, I was stuck there for 6 weeks.  I broke thru it by upping my fibre to 30g or more a day.

Now I'm stuck at 176lbs for 5 weeks now.  grrr.

keep at it!
I gained a lot of weight since moving to Vegas and finding a guy who makes me happy (and lazy).

I'm up to 210 now at 5'8", well 208 now, and wanting to get down to at least 160.

I'm trying to do this all alone and I keep hearing "find support!  find teammates!" etc.

Anyone out there want to be pen pals?
