Losing the weight to have a baby :)
I am 22, had a car accident in "05 and have gained 45 lbs since then. I want to lose 35-40 of it for sure. I feel like I dont have the support I need from my husband and i just keep giving up. Any ideas?
Honestly,I think you know the main answer to this and although it isn't easy,it's really the only 'thing' that will work.
I'm not sure about your situation, but I can tell you my story.
I wanted another baby (my only child,Caleb was 2 1/2) and I knew that getting pregnant at 235 lbs wouldn't be too healthy.
So I decided that for ME I needed to eat healthier...I lost 45 + lbs in 5 months.
I felt so much better being in better shape...I struggled though since my man wasn't about to diet with me and although he 'tried' to be supportive,it was really tough drinking water while he drank soda,or munching on veggies while he devoured fried foods etc...
It comes down to YOU..What do you want for YOU.
I would talk to him about it and say that you'd appreciate him not bringing junk food in the house and maybe see if he would like to take evening walks with you after dinner.....
Good luck
I am currently 23 and my 22 month old son Caleb is my old child, I want another but I refuse to do so being so overweight. I started losing the weigh in aug/08 at 215lbs im only 4"11...yea. I told my self that I had to lose at least 30 lbs (185) before I would even consider it...thats what I weighed when I got pregnant for my son. So I have reached that goal and I plan on trying to conceive in feb/09. And I hope to be around 175lbs by then.
It wasnt easy as my husband is not a big guy and can eat just about anything he wants. And I wasnt gonna ask him to diet with me as he has no need to. But he is considerate and tries to eat his 'junk' in the basement while watching t.v so I dont have to watch him lol
Bottom line you do it for you there will always be things people will eat that you wont be able to at that moment. And you simply have to decided what it is you really want.
Good luck!
