I started cutting my calorie intake to 1650 per day ( what calorir count recommends) I am 5.0, 126 lbs, work out 5-6 days a week.  I have been trying this new diet for 2 weeks and I have only lose 1 lb.   Anyone experiencing the same problem? Am I eating toom uch?

It takes a while for a new diet to start. I know that's not what you wanted to hear, but its true. Are you adjusting your cal intake for the workout days? You should be intaking more calories on those days so that your body has energy to burn.

Sounds counter productive, but you need to have alot of energy to burn energy, you see? Cal Count doesn't really take into account the cal intake on work out days, one of the major flaws with this site, but it MY personal opinion that you should up your cals 150-200 cals on hard workout days, 75-225 on medium work out days, and keep it at 1600-1700 for the normal days. That way your bod doesn't get used to the level of cals you intake

At 126 pounds, you're pretty small already.  Losing more than 1 pound a week would be unlikely, so losing 1/2 pound per week is actually really really good for someone of your size.  Keep doing what you're doing; it's working!

That title says it all. Applies to everyone on this site trying to lose weight I'm afraid. Wink

Weight loss is slow. And painful. ANd frustrating. And complicated. Not the answers you were looking for... but yes lots of people in the same boat as you.

You seem to be on the right track though. Stick to it.

Keep in mind if it didn't take two weeks to gain the weight - it won't be gone in two weeks either.

One possibility - sometimes when you start controlling your food intake and exercising your body says "woah - wait a minute - you are depriving me of what I am used to and I better make sure we don't starve to death" Sometimes you just need time to adjust to the change and see the weight coming off. Sometimes you need to make the changes more gradual so that it is less of a system shock. Don't switch things up TOO often or you won't actually give your body enough time to notice if things are working or not.

I agree with the other posters . . takes time. Sometimes you hit a plateau and don't lose any weight that week.  The best thing to do is relax, retool, and maybe rethink your workouts.  Cute cat!
