Losing weight before getting pregnant
I wanted to start a forum for women who are planning on getting pregnant but who want to lose weight and become healthier before conceiving.
I am 26, 5'6" and currently 262 lbs and recently diagnosed with hypothryroidism. My husband and I are planning on trying to get pregnant at the end of this year (in 11 months!). I have been a member of calorie count for quite a while now and have been incorporating exercise into my daily routine and trying to eat all the right things but have found myself not losing as much weight as I would like.
So, if there's anyone else out there like me with a goal to become healthy and lose weight before getting pregnant, hopefully we can motivate eachother towards this goal!
Reason: 1/20/09: Stickied for a week; 1/27/09: Unstickied
Inkypink,
Welcome to the forum!!!! It's never too late. It seems like you are doing well with your exercise regimen. I too do my workouts at the apartment gym. It's been good coz it seems like we are the only ones that uses it (my hubby and I). Let's lose weight and get healthy together! Good luck.
Hi all! I'm 18, and in a long term relationship. We plan to get married after I graduate from college, in 2012, or 2013. We plan to have kids shortly after getting married. My cw is 245, I'm 5'7" and I want to be healthy when it comes time for having a baby. I figure if I start managing my weight now, I can take it off sensibly over the next few years. My gw is 150. I love that yall have this post going, and I hope we all stay up with it. I find you all so motivating. I've been looking for a good reason to get healthy, and I've found it. I hope with yall's help that we can all stick together with this one.
