I thought I'd bump this up and hope folks will update their info, or post it if they haven't posted it here before!

My average intake for the past 30 days is 1644 calories, and I've lost a total of 42 pounds.
Female 5'9"- Avg.  1780 Cals.  Weight loss so far (2.5 weeks) 3lbs.
Average consumption over 12 days - 1975 cals

Average deficit - 811

Total lose weight - 0.5lbs..... *sniff*
I have been on CC for just a few days.  I am 5'3 and 133 lbs.  I am looking to be at 125 lbs.   I hear you saying eat enough calories and if I am not eating 1200 I am starving myself.  But I am not hungry.   My average caloris intake is around 980/day.  Eating mostly veggies and fruits.  Not a real big meat/fish eater.  I have been getting A's on the analysis.   Any suggestions?
Yes, eat more and move more. You are losing more muscle than fat at that calorie level. Muscle is more active tissue, so it's a bad idea to lose muscle when you could be eating a little more and losing fat instead.

Have some peanut butter.
I eat anywhere between 1200 and 2200 a day (I haven't done the math, but I probably average about 1700).  I work out pretty intensely about 5 days a week, and have 1 or 2 days of "active rest" (yoga or jujitsu, but nothing to strenuous), so even in my more gluttonous days, I have a calorie deficit (the only day I didn't was Thanksgiving, and even then I think I came out even).

In three weeks, I've lost 8.5 pounds.

Edit: It's been three months now, and I've lost 20lbs and 5 inches.
I average between 1200 and 2000 calories (1 day a week at 2000)

Since January 2006 I have lost 60 Lbs
I have lost 37 to 43 lbs, although I don't know for sure I had to replace my scale, and it was calibtated different so there is noway to know for sure. I eat between 650 and 750 calories a day. I have lost this weight quickly and consistantly. I didn't just wake up one day and decide to do this, I have gradually decreased the amount of calories. You will see Athena doesn't like this, but I don't care. It works for me. If you would like more info www.hbhop.com.  I have started this 6 weeks ago. Average it out for your seld 6-7 lbs a week.
Average cals a day: 1500 lost 17lbs since May 1 2006
Female, age 29, 5'4".  Starting weight 145 goal weight 120-125.

Have lost 6 Pounds in uh...Well truthfully, I've been trying since June to lose weight, but it wasn't until September 23rd that I saw the scale move down.  So 6 pounds lost since September 23rd...

Average Cals per day for the last 31 days is 1426

Usually run 3+ miles 5-6 days per week, and in the last few weeks I've added weight training 3-4 days per week and walking 3 miles in the evenings 2 or 3 times a week.
I'm female, 5'4.5", and since mid-July I've been aiming at a maximum of 1000 calories per day.  This includes vegetarian meat substitutes (better than they sound), fruits, vegetables, peanut butter, salmon, tuna, and other good foods.  I basically cut out sweets, bread products, most prepared foods, and eat very simply.  I go for "good value" foods that will provide nutrients and not let me get hungry a half hour later as well as low-fat and no-sugar alternatives.  I also take a multivitamin and calcium supplements each day.

I'm sedentary to light-exercise (office worker, currently not doing any workout activities).  Since starting in mid-July I've lost 21 pounds.  It's down to a pound a week or every two weeks now.  I'm thinking about raising the limit to 1200 per day.

My goal is to reach 130, which would be a loss of 30 pounds in all.  The other day I picked up a container of cat litter that weighed 28 pounds and realized that this very heavy item was 2 pounds less than the extra weight I have been carrying around all this time.  What a motivator!
I find it both funny and sad to see evidence on this thread that those who are eating fewer than 1200/1500 calories seem to have difficulty with reading comprehension....!
:)
I find it both funny and sad that people are so closed minded about things.

something to ponder....in order to get different results you must try different things.

I always wondered why people think they can do the same things and expect different results
Please post if you are:

Although I don't think it was right to make fun of your reading skills, the post does clearly ask for a certain type of person to post. Your post was an unessasary addition to something it didn't apply to.
1850 a day, exception 1 cheat meal a week, whatever I want.

burn 900 day during cardio 5 days a wk and lift weights days

10lbs lost in 30 days.
Been eating between 1200 and 1450 calories a day, on average, for the past 6 weeks (9-1-2006 thru 10-20-2006).

Have lost 7 pounds in that time frame.  Down 47 pounds total.
my reading comprehension is fine, and i fully understand what this post is about, but if you click on my profile, you will see that athena has made it part of her daily routine to attack me personally, as well as recruit others to do so too. and my post has as much to do with this as anybody elses.
dogerman, no offense and I'm not really picking on you, but your post isn't applicable to this thread. It's like going into a thread for vegetarians and suggesting they eat meat for protein.

Athena isn't the only one who thinks your eating plan is unustainable and will ultimately backfire on you.  Many of us do. And not for any other reason than the idea is not new and many of us have already tried it. But it's a free board and people can make up their own minds.

I'm not interested in engaging a debate or changing your mind. I didn't listen to the naysayers when I went on Atkins because at the time I was desperate and happy to have such awesome results, so I don't expect you would listen to naysayers, either.  We each need learn at our own pace.

But after some time has gone by (I was successfully low-carb for nearly 2 years), when you've regained all your weight back plus some, please don't be afraid to come back. We'll be here for you.

Well Secret_squirrell, I respond better to respectful people like you.  I respect that you disagree, because you have said you tried this.  I have tried several different ways myself, and this way works for me, and I wanted to share it.  I didn't ask to be badgered by her or anyone else.

I do however disagree with you, my post has as much to do with this thread as anyone elses does. My original post was simply how many calories I consumed and how much weight I have lost.

I have also taken some advice that I had recieved on here, and I did go see my Doctor. He said he was pleased with me. He didn't necessarilly agree with how I was doing it either, but said the risks were greater to keep the weight on.
