This is getting kind of frustraing now.. I am 5'3.5 and currently weigh 163. I started out at 178. Whats going on with me is that it will take me two weeks to lose like three to two pounds and then i will stay there for another two weeks until i lose anymore weight. I dont know if i am doing anything wrong.. I eat between 1500-1300 calories a day and  Th e30 day shred 5 to 6 times a week. Has this happened to anyone else? Any advice to get me going? Please?

So, to be clear, you're essentially losing a pound a week but it's showing up as a loss only every other week instead of on a regular weekly basis? I don't think there's anything wrong with that, but I could be wrong.

That's actually what's happening to me, too. I'm 5' 120 lbs and i do lots of elliptical and kickboxing/regular boxing and some weight lifting throughout the week eating roughly 1200 cals (which is actually only a 700 cal deficit max) and I've only been seeing losses every two weeks or so. It's very weird and somewhat discouraging, but I doubt you're doing anything wrong. Being relatively short, your intake should be fine.

However! If someone has different ideas on this - let me know! I'm not really sure why it's not a regular loss either. :\

good luck!

I get the same thing for some reason only not as long in between losses.  I'll stay at about the same weight for 3 or 4 days and then drop 2 lbs and then repeat.

I started out loosing pretty consistently but then - road block - after about 5-8 pounds I would stay there for about 2-3 weeks - and NOT LOOSE A POUND.  But then I would stick to it and I would start loosing again.

I have been stuck at 143 for almost 4 weeks now and it's killing me.  My GW is 135 and I wanted to reach that by the end of the year - I don't think I will make the date but I know if I stick to it, it will eventually come.

So my advise is do what you do and don't let the scale get you down.  It sounds like you are doing the right thing - keep it up!

Thanks everyone!! yeah i guess i just have to stick with it and not give up. As long as i am not gaining weight i guess i am okay. Its just frustrating you know? Like i dont know if i should be exercising more or eating less or what??? i dont know i guess only time will tell. But if anyone has anymore advice it is greatly appreciated :)

Hi, I don't know how old you are but I plugged in your stats and my age (24) into the burn calculator and it says at moderately active you would burn like 2400 cals/day. So it could be that your cals are too low compared to your burn (eating 1300 would give you an 1100 calorie deficit, and you should never have more than 1000). I would consistently stick with 1500 and not go under that.

oh! well i just turned 20 so i am not that much younger than you. Yeah that is a pretty big deficit. I do mainly stick more to 1500 so idk

You could also try adding some different exercises to your routine.  Sometimes we need to shake up what we've been doing if our body becomes used to a constant routine.

Good luck!
