Well as i work in a restaurant, i walk all day long, i dont eat much i think my average calory consumption is never above 1200 or rarely but i have only lost 1 kg since the beguining of this month. I drink at least 3 L of water a day and i am always occupied during the day and in the evening after work (after 11pm) im so tired that i just eat a quick salad and i drink water.
What am i doing wrong??? I eat plenty of veggies (salad at lunch) and my dinners are mostly small and green.
I dont understand what is not working.. maybe i should take the time to do more exercise then my constant walking and going up stairs during the day...
What do you guys think??

How much protein are you eating?
Try altering your diet. Like adding fruits and meats with your salads. More protein too.
maybe you arent getting enough calories. you need to have at least 1200cals a day to keep your body from storing the fat
Sintia:
I have the same problem. I am 'allowed' 2400 calories a day but I never make it to 2000. My protein/fat/carb balance is spot on. I eat my g/Kg proterin requirement. I consume my 40g of fiber. I drink water. I exercise. My calorie deficit is almost 50% -- I'm eating about 50% of the calories I use to stay alive and exercise. But...
In this first week of watching my diet, I have lost exactly zero weight.
I haven't really changed my eating and exercise habits a lot. I always ate as I have been but for this first week I've watched the fast food and junk food and snacks and recorded everything that I've eaten. Still, I'd have to pig out on Snickers Bars to get my calories up.
Can a person eat too little? Maybe I've just gotten my body used to a low-cal diet? Maybe I need more junk food in my life -- fat chance!

How do you get 40 grams of fiber a day? I try to buy whole grain bread and I take Fiber Choice but I know I'm no where near 40 grams!
so if i get this right, the 1200 cal a day helps ur body not to store the fat??? and by protein, what do you mean, is it meat?? and its hard to get this 30/30/40 thing correct.
I know what i should do to lose the weight but i dont have the time to really exercise, and here in cambodia you dont get everything you want (like junk food, here its hard to find a McDonald) so its easy, fruits there is plenty available... its true that i dont eat enough of them.. but im telling you when your cantine is the hotel's menu it is very hard to keep away....
well, i just hope that by moving out of the hotel (where i will have a kitchen) it will help me eat more fruits, and get my stress out..
thanks ..

How do I get 40g of fiber? I listen to my loving wife who is an expert on all this stuff. She reads Prevention magazine cover-to-cover.

I eat:
- high-fiber cereal in the mornings
- two salads a day -- dinner and supper. One is romaine and the other is spinash or maybe cabbage slaw
- brocolli and/or beans (legumes) at both dinner and supper
- 24 almonds a day (1 ounce)
- cut-up apples and walnuts mixed with a tablespoon of low-fat yogurt
- five dried prunes
- any fresh fruit

Hi,
New here and have weight issues of my own, but it seems to me that some of you have your calorie consumption too far down and your body is going in "starvation" mode.
That, coupled with your strenuous work day, lack of excersise and insufficient rest can all contribute to your lack of results.
You'd be surprised just how much weight you can lose by getting the proper amount of night-time sleep. From what I'm told this weight loss thing is a mind game. Your brain is convinced that you need the excess weight, so it's up to you to find ways to coax your mind into realizing that your body does not need the fat.
Sleep is paramount when it comes to re-establishment of a healthy metabolism.
