How much have you lost so far?

How many calories do you normally consume, how much did you work out, and how long did it take?

I've lost about 55 pounds. I just started eating more, but normally I would eat an average of 1550 calories per day. I work out 6 days a week, and it's been about 3 months. I was pretty big though, so it was easier for me to drop weight rather rapidly. I slowed down though. I'm only dropping about 1.5 to 2 pounds per week now.

55 pounds in 3 months is amazing! congrats and keep up the good work.

i switched to healthy foods about the 2nd of april, started running up stairs at work every day, and for the past 2 weeks i've been working out at the gym 4-6 x a week.. only  9lb loss so far, but definitely a muscle gain!

how long do you usually work out, and what do you do for exercises?

Thanks. I exercise for about 45 minutes a day. I jog for 30 minutes, and lift weights for 15 minutes.

I've lost 75 pounds, it took less than a year, I started eating 1200 calories and have since been moved up to 1450, over 1800 right now because I'm supposed to be maintaining.

I exercise between two and seven days a week for an hour, riding a bicycle uphill.  However, I didn't exercise a day in my life before I'd lost 70 pounds.

I've lost 103.8 lbs since the middle of last June.

I eat around 1200 to 1500 calories a day.

I don't work out. I hate it. =)

I have lost 14lb in 6 weeks It may have been more but I keep getting ill all the time. I usualy aim to eat no more that 1400kcal a day however I often end up eating about 1600, I work out 3 times a week 45 min on my eleptical and as im a such a big girl iv only just started to do resistance.

Well done cellulitedeslight thats a big achivement hope I can say the same this time next year.

I've lost 42 lbs since January 14, that's 17 weeks. I have another 100 or so to go. I eat 1700-1800 cals per day, making sure to keep the carbs, protein, and fat in proportion and get all my nutrients and fibre and keep the sodium down. I try to get to the gym 2 or 3 times per week, and/or bike to and from work or walk home from work...but this is a struggle. I am not a big fan of exercise, wish I was. But, I seem to be losing very consistently about 2 lbs per week despite the inconsistency of my exercise.

As of today I've lost 15lbs starting from March 1st, though technically I tried to maintain/lose weight about a week before that. I do light exercise (basically, whenever I feel like picking up hubby's weights and doing a few reps, along with the occasional hour-long bouts of DDR), but I also have a semi-labor intensive job, depending on the day of the week and how busy my section of the store is. I'm at least on my feet for anywhere from 4.5 hours to 9 hours, depending on the shift I do, and during that time I can lift boxes of roughly 20lbs or so (I've never weighed a box of 30 cartons of cigarettes, but through comparison of other items we carry in the store, 20lbs is a good guess) many times or barely at all, depending on how many C-stores decide they want 100+ cartons of cigarettes that day. Or, if it's shipment day, I'll be lifting those 20lb boxes for hours. It all depends on the day. =) So that has to count for something.

Right now, I consume anywhere between 1550-1800 calories a day. Hitting 1800 is rather difficult for me, and I typically hover around 1550 on any given day of the week. I could probably eat more and still lose weight, but I'm not going to push it for now.

As of today I have lost 40.5lbs starting from Jan 1 08 I dont really count calories to much but I would say anywhere from 1200-1400 calories a day and I do Turbo Jam and Biggest Loser workout 3-7 days a week that includes doing weights. I have a free day as I call it where I will eat junkier food like fast food and candy and dont count calories on those days this way I dont get cravings the rest of the week and Im still managing to lose weight.

Since 10/16/07 I have lost 116 pounds, from 320 to 204 this morning.  I eat 2000-2500 calories a day consisting of absolutely no fast food whatsoever.  I have not had anything fried since October...nothing.  I eat pasta, rice, bagels, bread, etc. low fat meats and fruits and veggies.  My cheat snacks are a couple of the 100 calorie cookie packs or pretzels.  The name of the game is to burn more calories than consumed...period. If there was nutrition in Krispy Kreme donuts you could lose weight eating nothing but glazed donuts as long as you burn more than you consume.  Low carb....bah.  I run 6-6.5 miles everyday which is good for over 1000 calories burned.  I dread when I hit my goal.  I will have to eat 3000-4000 calories a day to maintain which is VERY hard eating healthy.

90lbs off since March 2007
I am much healthier and more tone now than if I had just lost the weight without exercise. I feel better and don't get out of breath easily.
I have 10 to go.
20lbs lost since July 2006, but at a guess have actually lost 28lbs fat and gained 8lbs muscle.

Complete 75 press-ups 4 days a week

weights for 1 hour a week

cycle 25 miles a week

30 crunches a day

30 lunges a day.
I've nearly lost 10lbs and started just over 3 weeks ago now... I eat between 1200 calories to 1600 calories a day.. Most days are around 1300 calories though... I exercise 30mins to 1 hour every week day and usually go for a long walk, swimming or a bike ride at least one day at the wkend which I dont time, but its always more than 30mins.

been at it for almost 2.5 years, have lost 96 pounds. Average of about 3 pounds a month. Calories around 1200-1800 depending on my activity level.

I started on April 21st this year (3 weeks) I have lost 11 pounds. At first I was pushing myself doing everything I could all in one day. I got too wore out.

I cut back to Circuit Training (slim in 6) 6 days a week, Treadmill 3 days a week for 1 mile, and I walk for 30 min with my children 3 days a week. I only log on the activites that make me sweat. I eat about 1200 calories.

Congratulations to all that have lost weight! I am 5 3" and 158 I would like to get to 147 by June 12 , I would love to the 130,s someday!

Anyone else done the Slim in 6 program?

Well back in October I was 168. I'm 14. After months of running, eating properly, and working out every second day. I am now 129.

Ive lost 54.5 lbs since last fall. I just watch what i eat most of the time. I dont really count calories but watch portions and hunger cues. I also work out at least 5 days a week cardio every day(usually running)and weights 2-3 times a week.

ive lst 30 , i do situps and pushups and was walking  i work out everyday and added yoga to it not soo long ago , and ive been doing this since march the 3rd :)

I've lost 15.25 pounds since January... ( March and Februaruy were stalled out for me)  I go to the gym for 20 min cardio and 45 min weights twice a week, and do 60-90 minutes of judo 2-3 times a week.  20  minutes of walking daily.  my goal is eating 1400-1600 calories on high workout days, and 1250-1400 on light work out days, but i just realized that for the last week, i have been hovering right around 1100 calories.  ( don't jump on me... i know that isn't enough... I thought it was just a day here and there, but I was just looking at it and was shocked to find that it has been low consistantly for the last week or so... promise i will eat more this week :))

I've lost about 45 lbs since starting eating better in mid-January, and then joining a fitness club on February 26. I'm at 225 now, from a starting weight of 270 (I surmise). I may have lost more, because I hadn't weighed myself since about 2005, when I went over the 264 (120 kg) that was the top weight on my home scales and at the gym. But a 44-inch waist pant was tight on me, I'm 5 10, so, yes, it's possible that I was 280.

I ate Wendy's all the time, never ate breakfast, and often white rice two or three times a day, with curried chicken or whatever. A game of tennis on Sunday was it for exercise for the week. Nearly everything is fried over here (in palm oil, no less) so that didn't help. Oh, and I rewarded myself every night with a bar of chocolate, just for being me.

Now, I eat Quaker Oats oatmeal every breakfast, usually the Natural type, with a sprinkle of raising, sandwich for lunch, and grilled something for dinner. I spend an hour on the treadmill everyday, burning from 600 to 700 calories a day. On Sunday, I don't exercise and eat basically what I want, although I don't have the cravings that I used to.

All these stories are really inspiring -- Gracie, an amazing transformation!
