It has been a month and change since I did my first weigh in when I committed to the site. I just did my weekly weigh-in and I have reached 10 pounds lost since I first joined! I am so psyched and I hope I can keep it up in the long run. I really think I have been able to change my lifestyle in a very positive way.
(I went from 223 on Oct. 23rd to 213 today!)
Woot! Woot! Woot!
How very wonderful! You should be very proud of yourself!!!
CONGRATS!!!
(Keep up the good work, Brett!)

Well, My first goal for my first two weeks was to get my caloric intake under-control. I had never really kept track of how much I ate per day, and when I did finally start, my normal diet had been in excess of 3500 calories per day! So, I focused on getting my consumption lower than 2000. When I finally became used to my new diet I started hitting the gym 4 times a day for about 45 mins. My main focus this whole time has been feeling healthy. If I am getting very hungry before a regular meal, I have a healthy snack. If I am still very sore by my next work out, I do low impact and low intensity. What has helped me through the cravings has been visualizing my long term goals. I finally realized that I was hungry most of the time because I was bored, so a gave myself something else to do.
I hope this has been helpful, It took me a while just to figure out what I wanted out of my new lifestyle.
COngrats! That's inspiring. I just started on this site this week and so far I have lost 1lb half way through! This is a great tool and I'm excited to see where it takes me.
Good luck on your journey!!
Thank you so much for all the support. I hope to be able to have more good news in the future.
Congrats!!!
I know that my first 5 were very hard for me. Keep on doing what you're doing, and continue reducing calories/burning calories and hopefully you won't run into a plateau like so many of us do! ![]()
Good luck!!!
