I am down from 90 k to 85, but I see no difference whatsoever! Not even in my face!

I  have been eating 1200 cal (probably 200 more on two days of the week) and exercising for 60 minutes 4 to 5 to 6 times a week.

Why cannot I see a difference? Is it too small an amount?

and also, on friday and thursday I had a very bad time with calories, i must have eaten probly over 1800, so on the saturday I didnt eat anything and excercised. Is this ok? Will it make up for the binging?

gosh. i just need help with this all...i dont know much. i cant even ask my mum (see journal).

thankyou for your help!

CONGRATS ON THE 5KG LOST!!!!!!!!! yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!

but sometimes it happens as some people don't put much weight in their face-read me- so the little extra is as hard to lose.

If you've lost  1kg in each limb plus 1 in water weight, it might not show much. But if you feel good in your skin and the scale has gone down, then surely you must have lost!!! So forward and onwards! Don't let it get you down!!!!

Good luck.

First of all, congratulations on your 5KG lost! Just because YOU don't notice it doesn't mean that no one else does! I mean, think about it--you see yourself in the mirror every day. Those 5KG didn't disappear overnight...you were a little smaller every day. It's hard to track differences in our own minds.

Next, NO, it's NOT OKAY to 'binge' one day (I hardly call 1800 a binge...in fact it probably did your metabolism a world of good), and then NOT EAT the next day! This is disordered eating...a binge and starve cycle. And it can seriously screw you up. Exercising the next day is fine, of course, but make sure you get your normal amount of calories! Which, if you're exercising (and at your current size) should be more than 1200 a day anyway! Use this calculator to figure out your BMR:

http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/

This is amount of calories that you would burn if you were in a coma and completely immobile. It's the amount needed to keep your heart beating, your brain working, all your organs functioning. Make sure that you eat at least this amount!

**EDIT: I just saw in your profile that you're 16--in that case, you want to make sure that you get at LEAST 1500 a day. Your body is still growing (even if you're not getting any taller) and you need the extra calories! Believe me, 1500 with your exercise will still be more than enough to see weight loss!

Do not start playing a make up game.  If you ate 1800 calories, you probably needed them. At 16, the minimum calories you want to eat is 1500, more if you're taller than 5'2", more if you're getting any exercise, more if you're outside of a healthy weight range.  Use the teen calculator in the WL welcome sticky.  If you have a very high day, just let the next one meet your minimum requirements, do not skip eating.
