Way to go! Yeah, Calorie Count sure does help you see the junk and high calorie foods that you're putting in. Stick to your overall calorie goal (give or take a few cookies), stay relatively active; then the lbs seem to melt off.

probably 2/3 water weight, the rate will be reduced... but congratz, but one quote from teen bodybuilding.com
"- We don't really care that much about your progress from 145-146 pounds."

I dont think its water weight. My water weight loss was when I was up at 160 and I lost 6 lbs in a week. My normal weight is from 150-155. I've been working out hard and switched up my weight lifting program. Also monitoring my calorie intake. I dont really understand your quote. Is that ment to be a negative comment?

Im trying really hard not to be offended. Im very aware of how to be healthy. Its been a 2 year journey for me. I weighed 225lbs back in 2006. I finally made it to 150lbs, and over the last few months I've been slacking off. I got up to 160lbs and decided it was time to start getting back on track again. So here I am back on track, eating right and exercising. I am excited that the wheels are in motion again. My new goal is 140lbs which is a perfectly healthy weight for my height which is 5'4". Actually the healthy weight for my height is from 115-135. I truly dont need to bulk up I dont understand why you would say that. I have great muscle definition but I dont want to be a body builder so why would I need to bulk up? I want to be a toned 135-140, so this means I need to cut out some body fat.

oh im sorry, it was a inside joke... but i never knew you were that short...
Great job getting back on track!!!!!!! What did you do to lose all that weight? I would love to weigh myself every 2 weeks, but the suspense would kill me(lol).
Keep up the good work.![]()
congrats, off to a good start
Woah what the hell David? Are you lost? You are rambling like an idiot.
Foreverme24, that's great you're staying on track so you don't gain your weight back. You look awesome and that's inspiring you've lost so much already. Congrats :)
I am sooo proud of you!! The fact that you used to weigh 225 pounds and are now at the weight you are shows how strong you are and how much you have accomplished. I can relate, I used to weigh 230 pounds and I know weigh 150. It is a long journey, but very gratifying once you get there. You have something to be very proud of yourself about. Keep going strong! (And don't listen to that David. He doesn't seem to know what he is talking about.
) Take care and keep up the good work sweetie!
BRILLIANT! Congrats!
Haven't a clue what David is talking about - you have done so well so don't let his comments affect you.
As starry and others have said - we're proud of you!
Thank you so much to all of you for your support. It always helps to hear such positive comments, it keeps me motivated.

All I did was start and exercise program and keep my calorie intake at 1600 a day. So I eat what I want as long as I only eat 1600 a day. So to be able to eat more food I was forced to eat healthier. I would splurge once a month and get one meal whatever my lil' heart desired. I used to weigh myself once a month, talk about suspense. lol. Now every two weeks will do. It's fun though, its like a suprise when you finally get on the scale. I was honestly thinking I had lost 4 lbs. When I saw it was 6 lbs it got me excited for my next weigh in. For me its the little mind games I play with myself to keep me going, weird but it works.
Congratulations, Foreverme!!! Your post caught my eye because I'm just starting out too! All the best on your journey :0)
Congrats... I'm so happy for you... I'm doing the happy dance.. CONGRATS! Again.. ;)

When I first started I only went to the gym 3 times a week and started slow with 15 min of cardio and just did circut weight lifting. After a couple of weeks I upped my cardio to 20-30 min same on weights. Then another couple of weeks and I tried a step class. Changed my weight program to more focused exercises. About 3 months after I started my mom asked me to go running with her. At the time I hated running and I was really reluctant. She kept pushing me to go so I gave in. I ran 3 miles without stopping, I felt like my lungs were going to explode at one point lol, but I made it and when I made it the feeling was just awesome. I was in love. Instantly addicted to that feeling you get when you finish your run. Its indescribable really. So after that I continued to run, changed my weight lifting routine when needed and took some core classes. Now I work out atleast 3 times a week. 30 min of cardio and 45 min or so of weights. Eat healthy and exercise its the only way to loose weight and keep it off. ![]()
