Good job with a 6 lb. loss! that's a good way to jumpstart your weightloss again! I am down 2 after being off and being bad for 2 weeks...it felt great seeing that number today! Now....the hard part begins with staying on track! good luck!

hell yeah, been off track for 10 weeks now!! i tell ya wen ur mind dont wanna do it theres no tryin, i cant force myself i have to really want it, have to be in the right frame a mind.

tell u what when i saw that number on scale i could have done a little dance!!!

:0))

just a nice confidence boost n kickstart ye like u say. my birthday on fri so im bit edgy bout that but as long as i stay focused afterward n get straight bk on it il do this!!

AYSHH - as far as tips go id say mix it up a little, av a maintenance calorie day and what kind of exercise do you do now at the minute?  what r ur stats?

the body has a great memory, once uve been doin something for a while it gets used to it and it no longer makes it 'work', variation will kick start ur metabolism.

Also try cuttin down on processed foods and caffeine and alcohol and drink 2 litres water or there abouts a day.  but btw WELL DONE to gettin that far! i cant wait til im down to my last 5lbs.

:0))))  xx

Did you loose weight as far as burning fat or water weight? 6 Pounds is nothing sweetheart. Its probaly water weight you lost.

Real nice, executivecraig......nutbox acknowledged some was water weight and was just sharing some positivity which, sweetheart, sounds like you need.

WOW - do you ever have a chip on your shoulder.  Perhaps you should find another site, we are here to support each other.

6 lbs is a big deal, and even if it is all water weight the motivation it gives her is enough to celebrate.

Congratulations Nutbox - way to get back on the wagon!

WOW is right!  6lbs is 6lbs!!  I second that thought about finding another website.  It's negativity like this that set people back!

Way to go nutbox!  You are well on your way to successful weightloss....don't give up :)

Weight loss is weight loss!  Be happy and proud of you.  I'm glad for you.

Keep moving forward.

executivecraig - try it urself, some lost from ur rather large head could help with the ego issues darling

6lbs in one weeks is pretty damn pleasing for me!!!!!! water, fat or even just air, wherever its come from im not fussed, its gone n thats what makes me smile  :0)))))

good job on the 6 lbs.  And as far as execcraig is concerned he (it-whatever) just joined today and website listed is porn.  Moderators be advised.  Just block his username

That is awesome, water weight or not!  The water has to come off before the fat so you're off to a great start.  This is exactly what I'm trying to do, and every night I go home and blow it.  How are you doing it?  Also, what are your stats?  How much do you have to lose?  Probably not as much as me.  I have 66 lbs. to go.

By the way, it's not worth your time and effort to argue with anyone.  Like I'm always telling my husband, let it go.  Focus on everyone here who is supporting you.  And that's a great many people!  God Bless.

haha, nutbox, loved ur "it could be fat, water or air...who cares, it's 6 pounds comment!..

i am so like that as well, and i think it's important to just be able to see a scale change, doesnt matter if it's water, it gives u a mental boost to continue..

and as long as u ate healthy, then there's nothing to worry about.

I like this website because it's such a nice positive environment, let's keep it that way! :)

Executivecraig - You should do some research...

I am a woman and I have a job

Seriously, you're boring...just stop posting.

meyer67 - my stats 22y/o, 5ft 5ish lol, CW: 170 GW: 140

Im just eating better, healthier purer foods n lots more variety n snackin on all the healthy stuff that u forget about.  Its easier for me because i love all fruits n veggies as much as the crap foods lol.

I'm goin to the gym 5 times a week n just generally makin more effort with exercise plus ive cut bk on the alcohol....major calories lol.  However was ma bday on friday so prob maybe gain abit this week or maybe stay the same not sure, gettin back on track today tho n gonna work hard n see what happens.

If ya want any clearer tips just mail me or post bk, ur stats n what kind of diet ur currently eating etc.

Good luck all n thanks again  :0)

Congrats, Nutbox!

There's a lovely features on CC called "block". If a blockhead is just too annoying for words, you can go to his profile and "block" him (you know who I'm thinking of). That way you don't have to look at his drivel.

Nutbox-

Thanks for getting back to me.  Do you have any ideas for a quick, delicious, healthy way for preparing vegetables for someone who hates them (me!)?  I do love garlic, so maybe you have some receipes for veggies prepared with garlic?  Also, money is a big factor for me in grocery shopping-I don't have much of it so I'm forced to buy whatever is on sale.  I really don't have a yard so a garden isn't much of an option.

I'm 41 years old, 5'1" and 185.4 lbs.  I'm happy because I lost 1.4 lbs. over the last few days by getting back on my diet and going to the gym on Saturday.  My goal is to get down to 172 lbs. by my vacation in July, about 10 weeks away.  That may seem like a weak goal but I find the slower I go the better I do.  And I'm really trying to set an example for my 10 year old daughter who is overweight and it's my fault.  But I'm determined to not let her get like me.

Anyway, keep up the good work.  You are inspiring.

Congrats on getting back on the wagon.

Meyer67 - do you like salad?

If you love garlic roasting is fab.  you can roast whichever of the veg u like do u like tomatoes?  a can of chopped toms or half depends yano on roast sum garlic, onion, peppers, courgettes and then heat up some of/all of the toms and walla. i love that.....u can roast any veg, including pots or sweet pots etc.

salad....wt bout instead of lettuce use spinach leaves n a drizzling of balsamic vinegar.

its abit hard without knowing wt veggies it is u despise but my advice wud be u no the pasta sauces u can get on 241 offers etc at the supermarket, get them...u no get the best one for u with regarss to sodium, fat, kcals....but instead of using it with past hide ur veggies in it.  u dnt av to have em plain n borin theres loads u can do.

Once u find flavours u like u can make ur own cheaper version with cans chopped toms bit a garlic, onion, some herbs and/or spices just heat up in pan n add the veggies.

i love cheese so if ive got few kcals spare il sprinkle 1oz of grated cheddaron top.  yummmy!

hope thats of sum help maybe? btw when u roast veg it tastes completely different...eg, i hate peppers but when they are roasted they taste really quite sweet etc so i love them then but i cant eat them any other way.

same applies for your littlen, i gave my sis these tips, she has a nrly 3yr old boy n she hates veg n hates cookin n hes picked up not to eat them from her, i had him one day for her n i cooked him fishfingers, pots n then i got a steambag of veg-brocolli, carrots, cauliflower n poured 1 of my tom sauce over it mixed it round and he ate the lot.

of course tomatoe is always the base of mine so im hopin u n ur daughter like them eek :0)

let me kow...il give u every single tip etc i have....i think any way we can help each other is brill   Good Luck xx

oh ur goal is not weak its very realistic n very sensible and also discourages failure...ive always set unrealistic goals and when u dont reach em u feel inclined to give up so well done on that front

A little late, but since no one reported the thread for violation I got left with the clean up.  Please use the "report violation" when nasty incidents like these show up.  Also, clean up is much easier when you don't respond and just hit the "Block User" link.
