Lost motivation!

Quote  |  Reply

Hey Folks,

Down from 277 to 250 since October of last year.

Got sick 2.5 weeks ago and have lost ALL motivation to get back to the gym. How do you folks get back on track?

Focus on setting up a routine for yourself. Get a very doable, reasonable plan worked up and follow it to the letter. Don't even worry about the scale for awhile. Make getting into your routine your goal for a few weeks.

Just force yourself to go once or twice - and watch the motivation return!!!  It feels so good after getting in a good workout and that is all the motivation you need!!

Good luck to you missy and congrats on all the weight loss!!  Keep it up!

I've been really focused for about 9 weeks now...that's not as long as you. I stumbled upon the television programs about the super-morbidly obese. These are people who weigh 700-1000 pounds. There were several people who were profiled and a lot of them had been where I was (252 lbs) only 5 years or so earlier. Now, they were being forced to lose 300 pounds before they could be considered for bariatric surgery. That makes it a lot easier for me to think about losing 30-50 pounds. Good luck!

maybe you could try a workout plan that keeps out the boring routine stuff and keeps you motivated =) I'm doing the CC 12-week exercise plan and it's working =)
