How thin are you? I know this can happen to underweight women. You might want to visit your doctor and just to make sure there's no health problem.
If you have an eating disorder as you state, then it's probably copmletely normal.  I am 5'7" also, and I look too thin at 130, so I would imagine that at 114lb you are underweight.
Yes im 5"7 and 114lbs/
You haven't had a period for 5 years?!?! Run, don't walk, to the doctor's IMMEDIATELY.
This is not a good thing. Nie Dobre. If you haven't had a period for 5 years it means that either you have something wrong inside your body that you need to get checked out immeditaly. Other than that you are probably so thin that your body can not even support normal functions. This could result in serious damage to your body.
be very careful because if you ever wanna have kids you wont be able to or you will have a really hard time having them:(

Here are serveral reasons for no period.  1. pregnancy:  Since this has been going on for 5 years, I am assuming that you would have figured this one out by now.  2.  Age:  Menopause? or even early menopause  3.  Inadequate nutrition.  4.  Illness.

You can guess forever but the reality is that if you are of child bearing age and you have not had a period for 5 years you need to get to a doctor immediately.

Read ruberta20's response over and over and over again until you pick up the phone and call the doctor.  It is pure agony to want a child and not be able to have one.
Let me give you some advice i have struggled with an eating disorder for about 2 yrs now and i am now eating normal and i havent fallen back to starving in 3 months... yay... anyways i hadnt gotten my period for about a yr... and i just started getting it again about 3 mths ago... my point is my gyn has me on this really strict fertility watch because i was getting very worried that i wasnt going to be able to get pregnant... ive been in a relationship for a very long time and were not trying yet but i am preparing myself now because i dont want to be dissapointed when i do and then i cant i rather not be able to right now that im not trying and just working on getting better and getting the things i need to be able to have a child one day... and i have alot of complications from the tests they've done and that was only to years of an ed... just pray that that isnt your case... its pretty sad:(
Thank you for all the replys!

well im 21yrs old and I do have an ED. The sad thing is I do want to have chilldren one day and now who knows??
So what kind of doctor do I see? A gyno?
yes a gyno for now... then he/she will test for for certain disorders in your system an will refer you to whoever it is you need to be refered to... hopefully you will be okay...

Good luck:)
Everyone's already said it so I won't be a parrot.

But I do wish you the best of luck for getting this problem taken care of the way it needs to be!
Polishmodel... totally understand where you're coming from.  I'm 5 foot 8, 115lb.  I haven't had my period for 11months.  I've been to the doctors and we've kind of worked out it's b/c i'm underweight.  She left it at that and I'm not really sure what to do.  You can only go to the doctors so many times... i feel that she thinks I am being melodramatic.  The whole infertility thing scares me to death.  I'm only 21 but I def. want a family in the future.  I've forgotten the poster's name but to the person who mentioned having an ED and then getting her period back... could you provide anymore info? was it just a case of gaining weight? I've read somewhere that it's largely to do with fat intake.  My kcal intake continues to increase (although sometimes i get scared and cut it... i know it's silly)... but my fat intake is still super low! I can't get out of the mindset that fat is bad... even though i know it isn't.  Thanks all - these forums are great, even just to have a good old moan!
food freak, if your doctor knows you are underweight and "just left it at that", then you need to change doctors. Find one that will help you get healthy again.

yes  it all goes hand in hand calorie increase and weight gain... i gained about 10lbs b4 i started getting my period again... and my gyno has me on this restriction were i cant lose weight drastically, i have to have a certain bmi , in order for my hormones to be were there suppose to be...
The doctor keeps telling me that she can't force me to do anything and she totally understands being preoccupied with eating.  I wouldn't be surprised if she has an ED herself.  I think the problem is that in the UK (where our health services are free) the appt time is limited and they want to get you out of the door quick! She keeps saying to think about it and come back. But what I need is reassurance... i know it's silly but i feel a fraud getting help with an ED when i weigh 115 (not ridiculously underweight).  Yet I know my relationship with food is crazy and very destructive (i weighed 157 about 18 months ago).  I just can't do the whole "help me" thing but the gentle hints aren't working.  Argh sorry for hijacking this post.  I just need to vent
Sorry one last thing... what BMI did you have to reach? Mine darts around 17!
food_freak

he  told me at about 19 is the low end for me but 21 is strongly suggested.......it veries for each individual though.... i suggest you try and find another dr that will help you ..... and trust me when i say you are underweight i weigh about the same as you and my height is 5'5....you need to try and get better
also you dont have to be underweight to have an ed some women and girls are overweight even if you can believe it....

edit* 19 bmi is for me because i am under fertility watch... i probably started getting my period at about a 17 bmi but im shorter yours would probably start at around 19 or 20... just a guess
also......im struggeling as well because im not even at that im working my way up with my gyno and general drs supervision... the support has really made it easier.. although not easy in any way
