Wow thanks for sharing!!!!

That is so aweome!  You're an inspiration!
eand -- congratulations!  Keep that fire going -- that's what we need to do -- get mad at our fat -- mad enough to finally get rid of it once and for all.

I am not one that favors low-carb diets (I don't favor low-anything diets), but I certainly applaud you for identifying the plan that works for you -- different strokes for different folks, and 90% of the challenge is finding that stroke that's right for us.

But I am curious, how does this plan differ from other low-carb plans?  Had you tried any other low-carb plans before, or was this the first one?

Again, congratulations on the super success.
I checked out your blog, it looks like you are trying to promote some type of fad diet.. I'm reporting this.

Congrats on your weight loss success so far, I wish you good health as you continue forward with your weight loss goals!!
Wow 91lbs lost!

OMG that's amazing!!!!  way to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you really having days where you eat 1 or two eggs/ egg whites & 3 oz of tuna, or 6 oz of turkey & that's it?  Your menu would put my body into starvation, unless you didn't post your complete menus...?

Congratulations on the great weight loss - I hope you're being healthy about it.  You know, for the long term.
Congrats on your loss, but like others, I'm concerned.

You were very heavy to begin with and you have lost an enormous amount of weight (with still some to loose) through a low-carb diet.

Are you under a doctor's supervision? I mean, are they fully aware that you are doing this? Low-carb diets have a very low success rate long-term, and even more frighteneing is the weight comes back REALLY fast on these diets.

This would be very unhealthy long-term. Maybe, at the point you are at now, it would be good to re-evalute and even if you gain back some of the weight, you'd be better off.

Thanks for the warm welcome, I appreciate your kind care and support.. Just for the record right quick... no, I'm not trying to "promote" anything I don't even know why someone would have thought that?? The site that I have as MY personal site with my personal story telling of my personal plan of action... if someone confused that with something else.. that wasn't my intention. I am very serious about losing this weight as I am a single mother with 4 young children.. one with cerebral palsy that I need to be in good health to care for long term, and yes, I have a doctor and a recommended weight loss approach with all things in check. It's amazing to me that when I was 310+ pounds, my eating menu wasn't an issue. Now that I am limiting myself and making an effort to shed unwanted pounds it's a problem. I eat lean meats, fresh veggies, essential oils, cheese, and so on (as much as I want) .. the only thing I limit at this time is fruit and milk and any franken foods (is that how you spell it?) ..which I take whole supplements for. I will reintroduce these into my plan at the right time.. now is not the right time.

Someone asked how this plan that I'm doing differs from other low carb plans.. really the only difference is that I no longer eat unlimited bacon, sausage, beef jerky, chicken wings and so on.. I am choosing lean meats like chicken, fish, turkey, lean pork, lean beef and so on.. Hope this helps answer your question. As far as the long term goes, I will be adding in other foods such as fruit and dairy and grain once I reach goal in controled amounts. I have a plan set waiting for me.

Thanks again for your care and nice words.
We responded this way because we do care. We want you to loose weight, but in a productive manner.

There's tons of empirical evidence to support the notion that these diets do not yeild long term success.

What's the point in loosing the weight if you can't keep it off? And it has nothing to with your will or your control, it's plain biological determinism.
I lost 97 lbs on Atkins in 1996 and kept it off for 4 years.  I re-gained about 25 of the pounds between 2000 and 2003 and then regained all but 10 of the rest when I went back to school in 2003.

Since you're a single mom of 4...  I'm sure you don't have a lot of extra time (who does?).  But I think I might not have re-gained the weight as easily if I had been exercising.

So don't know if you're exercising, but wanted to suggest it.

And the other problem I had on atkins was fiber... didn't get enough of it....  was constipated a lot, even with taking metamucil and vitamin C.

But good job! My doctor had put me on atkins -- I just wish I'd had the foresight and determination to make myself exercise....
eandmeandg, congratulations! 0x0x0x0x0x0x to you.  I am truly happy for you.  You've got C-C support and motivation all the way.  Congratulatoins keep up the great work.  That's exactly it One Step at a time.  I can't stop smiling since I read your post (:
You must really be proud of yourself...you are the one who did it.. kudo's to the one step at a time...thanks for insight on exercising,  it is good to hear from someone who is "GETTING THE JOB DONE"...  Keep up the good job..trying to follow in your footsteps.. :-)
That's AMAZING!!!!!!  Congrats! How inspiring!

Don't look at it as 69 to go! Think...9 to go (to 100)! How impressive!
90 lbs is remarkable! Don't think that is a small feat! You can do it! keep going! 150 is closer than you think!
Thank you everyone.. that is so nice.. and uplifting! I truly appreciate your support!
Dear eandmeandg --

I have about the same amount of weight to lose (wait -- maybe even a bit more!) so you are truly an inspiration to me.  Please don't let anybody side track you or diminish what you've accomplished.  The truth is that people of size have "lost the weight" in many different ways, and what works for you is...what works for you.  May God continue to bless all of your efforts!

Take good care,

Sidney
