The Lost Week/ Getting back on the horse...
*sigh*
I had a really lousy week (diet-wise). I went over my goal every single day, and the past three nights I've gone out with friends, which of course has involved drinking. That, I'm sure most of you know, is the best way to kill your resolve not to snack on junk food all night long.
Needless to say, I was not happy when I stepped on the scale this morning. I know logically that the weight I gained is probably mostly just water (I can't have eaten THAT many calories in on week), but it was still pretty demoralizing.
So: this is a plea for motivational help! What do you do when you "fall off the wagon"? How do you pump yourself up again? I have a ton of homework today, so I'm going to go to the gym as soon as it opens and then spend all afternoon at the library, where I *can't* snack, but I could use any advice you care to give!
When I have a really bad week I try not to let it get me that much. I mean yes it makes me disappointed but everyone has off weeks but theres always next week to make it better!
Ussually what I do is when I have a bad week is try to really make the next week count. I drink ALOT of water. I drink on average like 6-8 liters a day but when I really need to flush out the bad junk I try for more! I make sure my workouts for the next week are HARD and really push myself. I work out 5 to 6 nights a week on average and I ussually do an hour of cardio and an hour of weight lifting. It has done wonders for my body! I also eat alot of protein each day.
And f.y.i one trick I've heard for going out for drinks with friends is to always show up a little late so you at least miss a round or two of drinks and alternate each alcoholic beverage with water while your there.
Well best of luck,
<3's Jes
