Lost weight, still aftraid of the bikini top.. (boob thang)

Hi all!

Ok, so Ive gotten to my happy weight, just toning up, having a nice time, doing my thing ect ect. Yay team~ PROBELM THOUGH.
*ahem*
I'm going the the islands in Feb with two friends and my boyfriend (very excited) but one thing is really holding me back... Ive lost weight, and saddly I was the type where lots of weight was held in my boobs. Weight Loss resulted in less-than-perky-than-my-Girlfriend's-who-is-c oming Boobs. Yea, Ive seen  them, there perfect. Well, compared to mine. Ive always been super shy about my bust...

With this out there, I'm supre nervous about going there and being the 'weird girl' who always wears t-shirts or tank-tops or a bra even...

What I would like to know is... Well first off, HELP. and second off, is there any type of bikini top or swim top that'll just, oh i dunno, STRAP them up and make them look big and beautiful? Like my killer push-up bra? Do they make Push-up Swim tops?

OH and for store suggestions, I live in Canada...

Any help I serriously appreciate, as this is a huge deal for me... I dont want to have this worry get in the way of awsome beach time!

Thanks a bunch,

Raz

Check out Victoria's Secret.  If you don't have one nearby, try them online.  Actually, they only sell their swimwear online anyway.  They have tons of bikini top options including under wire and push-up.  It may be a little expensive, but I think it's worth a look.

Best of luck, and have a great trip!

I got a great swimsuit last year from Bikini Village (I don't know where you are, but I think they're pretty much in every big mall, at least in ON) that is a full piece in the front, but has sides cut out and almost no back.  The great part is that because the suit is all front and no back it takes the focus off the chest.  I don't have big bouncy bangers that look great in a swimsuit either and when I lose weight it always comes from my chest, so I feel your pain.

I would suggest looking at 1 piece suits for that reason, they have some really great, sexy and stylish ones (not just mom's 1 piece).  Also something with a bra top is good for padding and holding up cleavage.  Go try on everything until you find one that flatters you and you feel good in.

Congrats on the weight loss, you definitely deserve to find a suit that makes your improved body look hot!

In a perfect world, La Senza would carry a bikini top equivalent to their bras. Unfortunately, it's not a perfect world and I have no advice for you :(

I have seriously considered before wearing a bra and undies while swimming, because they're so much more flattering than any swim suit I've ever owned!

I second the Victorias Secret swimwear. Mine are less than perky and they have a few tops that really LIFT! I'm pretty sure they'd ship to Canada. For swimwear, you have to order online. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time in case you need to return or exchange size wise...

I live in Canada, too.  Do you have a Swimco shop in your city?  They are so nice and helpful and should have just what you need.  I'm going through the same problem as you.  I lost 30 lbs. and went from mountains to molehills :(

Wow, the suport on this is insane!

I'm really glad to hear that there are actual options out there, not just that tiny triangle top you always see Eveywhere. So envious of those. Totally cannot wear them. Glad that Swim-suit companies are opening their eyes to the world, not just the desired corporate model.

Thank you so much everyone for the sugestions! I'm going to check out Victoria Secret online tonight and Check out what they have. Thank goodness I'm thinking about this with two months to go, not two weeks! Woo~

I feel better allready about my trip~ :-D

Make sure you get a halter style bikinitop. That style alone usually lifts and creates some nice cleavage.

If someone already mentiones this..sorry.

Done it!  Was at a hotel with no swimsuit and a wicked roof top hottub, what was I to do??

I second this 100%!  After seeing what the girls looked like in a halter as opposed to any other type of suit (1 or 2-piece), I'll never have another kind.  Also, the halters that let you adjust the straps instead of buckling behind your neck are wwwwaaaaaayyyyy awesome!  It's like adjusta-cleavage built right in!

^ Yes! I can't believe I forgot. That is very important! Make sure you can either tie the halter around your neck or that it's adjustable. I prefer the ones that you tie yourself to be completely honest.

go to a boutique that sells fancy lingerie for women with bigger breasts...they will also sell swimwear

one line that is good for support:

FREYA (checck it out seriously so cute!!!) the nicest bra sized swimwear ever and it will hold up any boobs and make em look great

I see it's already been suggested, but I'm going to throw my two cents into this conversation... go for a halter top!  Now, I have small boobs... but a halter top can do wonders for anyone.
