As you have lost weight...
My burn meter has changed since starting CC+. When I entered my new weight the burn meter went down. Does this mean I continue with the same amount of calories each day OR do I decrease my calories as my weight goes down. I've gone from 270 llbs. to 230 lbs. since January.
Thanks so much for any help you can offer. Have a great day everyone! ![]()
It depends on how much of a deficit you want. For example.. I used to burn 2100 calories and took in 1500 calories for a 600 calorie deficit. I'm now burning 2000 calories - I could drop to 1400 calories to maintain the same deficit (and the same rate of weight loss), but I am sticking with 1500 calories simply because I don't want to eat less! This will drop my deficit to 500 calories.
Congrats ultimately for your weightloss!!! :)
I too have had a drop in the figures, and take as I require less calories to maintain.
The thinking I would assume is that as I have less bulk to move, I require less energy i.e. calories to move it.
I reckon a lot of people get caught out by this (I nearly did)
All the best.
alleyway, congrats on your loss. If you feel comfortable at your current intake and worry that diminishing it would be difficult to manage, then you could always leave it the same, and just lose a bit slower than before (quick 'n dirty rule: for every 100 cals a day that your burn meter has decreased, you will lose one less pound a month than you otherwise would). You have had a quick rate of loss, so losing, say, 8 lbs a month instead of 10 is probably no biggie.
Thanks to you all for your help. Every now and then I need to hear from others so that I won't lose my mind. Have a good one!
well... as you get thinner you consume a smaller ammount of calories. :P
congrats 4 the weight loss!
I wish I could lose 40 lbs in 3 months :((. How did you lose it so fast? :p(me is really desperate)
I sent an email yesterday and have not received a reply...did it go through??? Just wanted to know. I really need to talk to either ccplus or someone.

Oh I forgot to to add: I work out 3-4 days aweek for 2hours a day. I use the elliptical for an hour to burn 600 calories and then I either do weights or the treadmill for another 30 minutes. Is that too much. My eat meter is no more than 1450 calories per day. Can someone please email me?
I wish I had enough knowledge to help you out DL, but I'm still learning this weight loss venture myself. I'm not qualified to answer your question. I wish you luck though. There are plenty of people on this site though that can give you the information you need, so don't give up.
Thanks Allyway, I'm trying to get it together. How long have you been on CCplus? I hope to get to my goal weight by september 9....at least that's what the ccplus says.
I found CC+_on January 5th, but I didn't sign up until a week or so later. I hope to be at my goal weight at some point in my lifetime. :) Actually, I haven't set a date for my goal. I have the rest of my life to become fit and that's the only plan of action I have. If I reach my goal of 160 lbs. this year or in the next 10 years, I'm OK with it. Enjoy each day that comes and have fun!
