I lost 20 lbs on CC by Calorie Counting and eating average 1450 calories a day from May through September to make my total loss 30 lbs. I went from a size 8-10 to a 0-2. More importantly I have maintained the loss since September 2007 and no longer count. The amount of knowledge I have gained here enables me to make smart food choices on a daily basis. I EMPOWERED myself and got back control of my life. This website has 100% CHANGED MY LIFE. My story and charts etc is in my profile.

Hi..... I started at the end of October right before Halloween and logged in the food for the day. ..... shocked me off my chair....

Ive lost 40lbs since counting the calories, walking on the treadmill and drinking water... its all in my journal and gallery of pictures... take a look

Yes.. I have been on here 2 years..lost 84lbs.

I dont think I would be this far with out C-C...

I started Oct. 4th , 2007 and have lost 32lbs so far, went from a size 8/10 to a size 3/4.  If it wasn't for this website I'm not sure I would of accomplished my goal to get down to 120lbs (only 3more to go).  Its taught me to eat right, and watch my food portions.  I also started working out and drinking 8 to 10 glasses of water a day.

Its a great feeling and I'm loving life.

Started August 2007.  Took in the minimal of 1200 calories a day and added exercise in to my life.

I've lost 50 pounds.  Went from a 12/14 to a 0/2.  I now love exercise and look forward to my daily cardio.  I also love calorie counting because it allows me to eat what I want, there are no restrictions here.  As long as it fits into my daily intake, I'm free to eat anything from fruits/veggies to yogurt/cheese to my daily no pudge brownie!

When I started here in January 07, I was at 185 (I'm 5'6").  As of my weigh in yesterday, I'm about 148-149.  So yeah, CC has really helped me.

In October 06 I was close to 200, so I made some small changes and it helped me lose about 15 lbs, but CC has really provided me the education and resources to keep my healthy lifestyle up.  The food log helps me feel accountable for what I eat, as well as give me flexibility, and keep me reminded of what a portion size really is.

I have gotten the best recipes, food and product suggestions, and exercise tips since I started here.  This place is great!  Laughing

like other people have said this website really has changed my life... counting calories completely opened up my eyes to how unhealthy (and how much) food i had been eating for years

i've lost 20 lbs since june 2007 and have adopted a healthy lifestyle, as well as becoming a pescetarian.

i've learned soo much from these forums and absolutely love hearing other peoples healthy recipes! =)
I've lost about 30 pounds since September.  It should have been more, but I didn't count in December due to the holidays and a two-week vacation (I watched what I ate somewhat, but I didn't count calories and I probably drank too much alcohol).  That set me back a bit, but I am back below where I was at the end of November.
I started CC Nov 3, 2007 and lost over 30 pounds.  I average around 2,000 calories per day.
I started my efforts in March of 2006.  At that point I wasn't seriously counting calories, just trying to make better choices and exercise.

In November 2006 I found C-C.  Looking back, I would never, ever have made it as far as I have without C-C.  Between all of the tools, the help, and very useful info I've gotten from the forums, and most importantly, the friends I have made here, I have been successful beyond my wildest dreams.

Total amount of weight lost: 118 pounds, with about 15 more to go until goal.  Clothing size in March 2006: 26 (headed for 28.)  Current clothing size: 10.

Thank you C-C!!!
I only just started with CC on January 14 of this year, so it's just been about 3 weeks.  But I've already lost 5.5 pounds and I'm not using any other "diet plan" other than using CC to count my calories, and show me where I need to make adjustments in what I'm eating, as well as adding exercise to my life.

I love being able to be in control of my own eating - no counting points or eliminating any particular food group - I am in charge and CC just helps me keep track of it.  If I decide to splurge on dessert when I go out to eat - I can!  I just have to make sure I account for it and eat appropriately at other times and, of course, keep on exercising!

This is an awesome site and with just a little motivation and discipline, almost anyone can use it to turn their eating habits around.  Lots of great people on the forums, too, to help keep you motivated!
Yes, almost 70 pounds in a year and a half.  :)

I started using this site faithfully on the 3rd of January 2008. i dont know how much ive lost at all because my scale wont go that high, but i have had people notice i am losing. i come here probably 6-10 times a day. I log everything i put in my mouth and went from a C- my first day to meals that Analyze anywhere from A+ to B-.  and for my weight of over 350 i have managed to keep my calorie intake under 1300 calories at its very highest.

I track the exercise i do and really like to read the other threads. I would be lost with out this site. TY for having this site!!!!!!! Cool

I just found the site at the end of 2007, so I started counting my calories on New Years Eve day. The most useful thing was the food log. Not because of the number of calories, but the distribution of calories from fats, proteins, and carbs. Just adjusting those (without attempting to limit the actual total number of calories) has produced about 5 lbs of loss in these last 5 weeks. I'd like to lose another 10 or so and I think that if I stick to paying attention to what I eat, even if I don't worry about the quantity, my body will continue to tell me when I don't need any more.

I also found that sometimes just knowing that I'd have to figure out what it was on which I was considering snacking (and record it!) kept me from eating it in the first place. Though that has backfired when I don't have a recipe handy and I just stop entering things for several days at a time. Innocent

Wow!! I just started today and my Nutrition Grade was an A-.  But I still feel unhealthy and want to lose about 20 lbs if not a little more.  I loved hearing everyone else's success stories.  It has really motivated me to do my best.

I sure have... I started with CC at the start of November and I've lost 30 pounds so far. I swear by this site... :)
I started last month and although I have only lost 10 pounds, that is 10 lbs I would not have lost had I not joined this site.
20 lbs since Dec 1 2007.  Would have been more but I abandoned CC in favor of Christmas gluttony.  More to the point, its helped me realize how much fat and SODIUM I'd been eating.  Sodium is now my mortal enemy.
Definitely. I was already cutting back with food and exercising last year but as soon as I got serious with CC around Oct. (actually joined in july) of last year, it seemed more effective combined with my exercising. Lost about 10-15 lbs since using  this site. So yes it works.
I started counting cals on the 1st of january and became a member of CC on the 9th, I lost almost 10 lbs until now. Having this forum and the journals and the tools here really is the best thing ever, we are all in the same position and that alone helps so much !!!
