Have you lost weight using calorie count?
Hi..... I started at the end of October right before Halloween and logged in the food for the day. ..... shocked me off my chair....
Ive lost 40lbs since counting the calories, walking on the treadmill and drinking water... its all in my journal and gallery of pictures... take a look
I dont think I would be this far with out C-C...
I started Oct. 4th , 2007 and have lost 32lbs so far, went from a size 8/10 to a size 3/4. If it wasn't for this website I'm not sure I would of accomplished my goal to get down to 120lbs (only 3more to go). Its taught me to eat right, and watch my food portions. I also started working out and drinking 8 to 10 glasses of water a day.
Its a great feeling and I'm loving life.
Started August 2007. Took in the minimal of 1200 calories a day and added exercise in to my life.
I've lost 50 pounds. Went from a 12/14 to a 0/2. I now love exercise and look forward to my daily cardio. I also love calorie counting because it allows me to eat what I want, there are no restrictions here. As long as it fits into my daily intake, I'm free to eat anything from fruits/veggies to yogurt/cheese to my daily no pudge brownie!
When I started here in January 07, I was at 185 (I'm 5'6"). As of my weigh in yesterday, I'm about 148-149. So yeah, CC has really helped me.
In October 06 I was close to 200, so I made some small changes and it helped me lose about 15 lbs, but CC has really provided me the education and resources to keep my healthy lifestyle up. The food log helps me feel accountable for what I eat, as well as give me flexibility, and keep me reminded of what a portion size really is.
I have gotten the best recipes, food and product suggestions, and exercise tips since I started here. This place is great! ![]()
i've lost 20 lbs since june 2007 and have adopted a healthy lifestyle, as well as becoming a pescetarian.
i've learned soo much from these forums and absolutely love hearing other peoples healthy recipes! =)
In November 2006 I found C-C. Looking back, I would never, ever have made it as far as I have without C-C. Between all of the tools, the help, and very useful info I've gotten from the forums, and most importantly, the friends I have made here, I have been successful beyond my wildest dreams.
Total amount of weight lost: 118 pounds, with about 15 more to go until goal. Clothing size in March 2006: 26 (headed for 28.) Current clothing size: 10.
Thank you C-C!!!
I love being able to be in control of my own eating - no counting points or eliminating any particular food group - I am in charge and CC just helps me keep track of it. If I decide to splurge on dessert when I go out to eat - I can! I just have to make sure I account for it and eat appropriately at other times and, of course, keep on exercising!
This is an awesome site and with just a little motivation and discipline, almost anyone can use it to turn their eating habits around. Lots of great people on the forums, too, to help keep you motivated!
I started using this site faithfully on the 3rd of January 2008. i dont know how much ive lost at all because my scale wont go that high, but i have had people notice i am losing. i come here probably 6-10 times a day. I log everything i put in my mouth and went from a C- my first day to meals that Analyze anywhere from A+ to B-. and for my weight of over 350 i have managed to keep my calorie intake under 1300 calories at its very highest.
I track the exercise i do and really like to read the other threads. I would be lost with out this site. TY for having this site!!!!!!! ![]()
I just found the site at the end of 2007, so I started counting my calories on New Years Eve day. The most useful thing was the food log. Not because of the number of calories, but the distribution of calories from fats, proteins, and carbs. Just adjusting those (without attempting to limit the actual total number of calories) has produced about 5 lbs of loss in these last 5 weeks. I'd like to lose another 10 or so and I think that if I stick to paying attention to what I eat, even if I don't worry about the quantity, my body will continue to tell me when I don't need any more.
I also found that sometimes just knowing that I'd have to figure out what it was on which I was considering snacking (and record it!) kept me from eating it in the first place. Though that has backfired when I don't have a recipe handy and I just stop entering things for several days at a time.
Wow!! I just started today and my Nutrition Grade was an A-. But I still feel unhealthy and want to lose about 20 lbs if not a little more. I loved hearing everyone else's success stories. It has really motivated me to do my best.
Sometimes it's OK totext in a restaurant.
