Would love some advice!:)
Hello!!
Well, I am very confused, just need some advice!
After eating too little for 7 years and big fluctuations in my weight I learned that my body was in starvation mode and decided eating more. Since april 9th I jumped from 600 calories a day to 1200 (1st week), 1400 (next 6 weeks), 1600 (next 3 weeks), 2000 (last week) and have been gaining weight gradually (in total 14 pounds). I would like to know if there is anyone that passed through the same thing or similar and the body actually got back to normal and got used to normal amounts of calories!
Do you think I should start dropping the calories to start losing weight or hold 1 more week on 2000 calories and then try cut calories?
I exercise 6 days a week and am 5'4'', 23 years old, 130 lbs.
Monday and Thrusday- 15 minutes lifting weights upperbody, walking 45 minutes, 1 hour yoga.
Tuesday and Friday- 15 minutes strength training lowerbody, walking 45 minutes, 1 hour yoga.
Wednesday and Saturday- 1 hour yoga, 45 minutes walking.
Anyone has any advice? I would really apprecciate some help!
Thank you very much for your time,
Anne.

Have you been eating 600 cal a day for 7 years? Are you having any health problems because of this? My advice would be to see a doctor or nutritionist and find out what a healthy meal plan for you would be.
Hi Isam!
I went to a nutritionist and didnt help me at all, I knew and am doing everything that she told me...
I ate 300 calories for 6 months, 1200-1600 for 3 years between, 1000 for 1 year, but the last 2 and a half years were around 600-800.
Never had any health problems. Always great, blood tests fine. Just missed my period, but my doctor advise me to take birth control pills (my blood tests were fine) and everything were ok.
Strange and confusing:)

Wow! It is great you are in good health. Your stats in CC said you burn around 2060 per day at moderately active. I think it is just your metabolism being slow from undereating for so long. Once your body gets used to eating maintenance calories again then you may could decrese slightly to loose if you put anymore weight on. It is my opinion only, not medical advice. Hope this helps.
Isam31,
I have been there girl. I have fought my body for years like all of us women, and calories have haunted and confused me.
I read these amazing books by Geneen Roth. A whole new perspective hit for me about eating. There is the concept of letting go of the calories...TOTALLY scary, and eating when you are hungry and stopping as soon as you are satisfied but always eating when your body wants you to. It is more of a mind body connection of self love than control.
I get it. I now teach yoga and try to teach some self love. Like you my weight has been so up and down. But I have started following Geneen Roths ideas and now I am 5'5 and 125/124 and feeling really good. I do watch what I eat but it is nice to have some awareness of what my body needs and let my body take its time to find its healthy place.
I think for you its no longer about calories but about some self discovery on what you want and feel.
Just and idea. =)
