I'm a hot chocolate FANATIC but I would REALLY love to hear you guy's low-cal ideas! Trust me,..I've come up with some pretty weird ways to get my "hot chocolate" fix.
I've used those "Magic Moo Mix" chocolate mix packs at 8 cals. a piece that I pour into warm soy-milk,....and I tried the DIET swiss miss that I make with half soy-milk half water and some cinnamon wich is really good........aaand----all sorts of other stuff.
ANY good low-cal ideas would be VERY VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!
can't wait to hear what you guys come up with!

you could use almond milk that is unsweetend, and put the mix in that. it's good. i love to warm it up and sweeten it with maple syrup :P

Not necessarily healthy, but I used to add a dollop of Cool Whip at the top. Makes it very indulgent, thick, and creamy. I guess you could use the light Cool Whip or some Reddiwhip to make it more low-cal.

Chocolate Cool Whip on top of Ghirardeli hot chocolate is to die for......

I was buying the nestle carb free sugar free hot chocolate but at 2.19 a box for 6 packets I was like no thank you and stopped drinking it. Now I am in love with kraft internation flavored coffee drinks. It isn't hot chocolate but if you like mocha or french vanilla it can be a nice alternative. Best part is that there is not milk needed (saves cals), so you get a nice mug of hot mocha for just 30 cals. Granted you buy the sf kind. I just microwave a mug of water for 1:30-2 minutes, pour in 4 tsp of the mix with some splenda, stir and enjoy.
I usually take plain cocoa powder and mix it into hot skim milk then add splenda to taste. I think it's yummy, but I don't drink it often cuz dairy tends to mess with my stomach sometimes.
1 tablespoon cocoa, 1.5 tablespoons of sugar, 12 oz skim milk.  sometimes i add a little vanilla extract.

Try Diet Peppermint Hot Chocolate.

Just heat up some peppermint tea and add Diet Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate.

Add some splenda if you need it sweater (but it doesn't need it) for only 25 calories and none of the guilt!

My husband can't have chocolate, so to be nice we don't keep it in the house.  So instead of hot chocolate during the winter, we drink hot Carob :-).  We mix vanilla soymilk with 1 T carob powder and the sweetener of your choice.  It tastes a lot like hot chocolate, but more like a spiced hot chocolate.  Its pretty tasty.

teaspoon Hershey's special dark cocoa powder (2 cals)

sugar free coffee syrup (vanilla hazelnut or caramel they're all good :)

1 packet splenda

splash of light silk (approx 10 cals)

viola :) how I get through the winter in Minnesota

I actually just went on a search for this myself about two weeks ago.  I just used 1 TBLS unsweetened cocoa powder (15-20 cals), 1 TBLS no cal sweetener, a tiny bit of salt and put in in plain hot water.  You could even top it with a little light whipped cream and stir it in to make it a little more "milky."  If you are spoiled on yummy homemade hot cocoa with milk, this might not be as satifying to you.  Another idea is hot skim milk with sugar free chocolate syrup.

Oh oh! I have a good one, haha. Buy your choice of hot chocolate packets, and make it as prepared. Then freeze it onto popsicle sticks and you have really low calorie chocolate frozen bars.

i love carnation's light hot chocolate, it's only 45 calories per serving. sometimes when i'm about to watch a movieor something, i'll get the biggest coffee mug i can find, and add 2 servings.

I just use a tsp plain cocoa powder, mix with boiling water and then add a splash of milk as I would for tea or coffee. I find it really intense and chocolatey like that - sort of like comparing dark chocolate to Dairy Milk. Mmmm.
