love breakfast, hate dinner...problem?

Hi everyone! I have a metabolism question!

Although I have been trying to eat multiple small meals a day, I find myself eating about 3/4 of my calories before 2pm. I love breakfast. I recently found out that I'm slightly hypoglycemic, and my doctor told me to eat lots of protein for breakfast, and I'm trying to do that. It's not that hard, since I love four course breakfasts! But usually I'm only left with 200-300 calories for dinner, which I eat between 4 and 5pm. By the time I go to sleep around 11pm, I'm pretty hungry, but it doesn't bother me the way it would during the day. I kind of like going to sleep on an empty stomach (but not in a masochistic ED way, I promise!). My question is this: is this morning-heavy eating pattern okay for my metabolism? I know breakfast is good, but I'm starting to wonder if it's okay to go to bed hungry.

Stats: F, 5'7, 130 (only want to lose a few more lbs), eating about 1500 cal per day.

Thanks! Laughing

I used to do this too...my breakfast was like 500 cals at least hahah. and i eat 1500 cals a day. so already 1/3 :O

It would suck for me because for dinner I'd eat hardly anything, and like you, I'd be pretty hungry by nighttime.

I kind of adjusted it...so now I only eat 300 cals for breakfast and most of my calories at night. not hungry when i go to sleep. not hungry when i wake up. i like it better like this :)

whatever you think is best? But if your body tells you you're hungry...I think you should ration out the food differently

Thanks for the response! I think I will try to spread out the calories more. I bet part of the problem is that I tend to be home more in the mornings with my current schedule, but as of next week that's all going to change.

I guess part of my dislike of dinner is just the fear of overeating before bedtime (such a nasty feeling). But as so many of us around here are learning, undereating doesn't solve problems either...
