I love fruits and I need new suggestions
I want some new fruits to eat! I usually only eat apples just because they keep well in the fridge for a long time, tastes great, takes a bit to eat, versatile, good calorie range, etc. I wanted more diversity so I'll be healthier.
Are there any other fruits out there that are similar to apples in these aspects? I used to eat alot of bananas too (I still do) but they start wilting way too quickly for me... and are quite high in calories (I go through them really quickly, unless I freeze it I guess. But even then...). I kind of think th same way about strawberries and oranges.
Are there any other fruits that take a bit to eat but are moderate in calories? (Or new ways to eat certain fruits so i don't gulp it down in 2 seconds and then reach for another one (Like unfrozen bananas)).
Pears...I buy them when they're still hard so they keep longer.
Grapefruit...I peel them & eat them like oranges. They pretty tart so it's hard to eat them too fast.
Agree with pears and grapefruit. Also, MANGOES, kiwi fruit (especially the gold varieties from NZ they are amazing), peaches, nectarines, apricots??? Pears are a great idea though.... Also i think oranges are fine because they're mainly water based and can take a while to eat... Good on you for wanting to eat more fruits :)
I like pears. I'll try to get some next time I go shopping! I'll probably pick up more grapefruits too :) its been awhile since I had them.
I eat alot of kiwi.. or i did. I eat them really quickly, lol. I even eat the skin which people are surprised by... but I'm too lazy to peel it half the time and I heard it's good for you so........ don't make fun of me. haha.
Mix in Fage (60 grams or so) with unsweetened cocoa, a packet of stevia, and a splash or two of almond breeze chocolate milk to thin it. Mix in diced frozen strawberries, and start mashing mixing until it is all one chocolaty goodness.

I know they're not very fridge-friendly, but you could also eat berries, except freeze them beforehand. They're slow to eat because they are frozen, and so delicious that way anyway! And I find that precut cantaloupe lasts a pretty long time too.
Pomegranates have to be the world's slowest-to-eat fruit. Cherries and mangoes are slower to eat too.
The wider variety of fruit you eat, the better.
I was thinking about picking up some pomegranate. I like them and haven't had them in a while. :)
I am eating a VARIETY of vegetables now so I wanted to start with fruits as well. I'll do the freezing of the berries (I eat the entire box of strawberries otherwise...) and bananas as well I suppose :) haha.
is fage a yogurt?
I mix different fruits and have it as my snack. I love blueberries, strawberries, black berries, raspberries. Bananas, kiwi, apples, pears, peaches, nectarines, pluot, watermelon, cantaloupe, grapefruit, oranges. Just buy what is on sale or in season.
Fage = Yogurt
I eat all kinds of fruits here are the ones I mainly eat all the time:
Apples, grapes, banannas, grapefruit, kiwis strawberries, blueberries, blackberries (daily), star fruit, cantelope, watermelon, honeydew melon, rasberries.
I buy bananas while they are slightly green so that they ripe while they sit on my counter and some with ripe sooner than others.
Strawberries last a pretty good while, and they are so low in calories
Oranges are awesome and in the winter season (from what I've heard) our body craves Vitamin C and from what I've noticed, an orange never tastes better than in the Dec-Feb months. They last a while too.
I can't really think of too many others, but just buy them more often and not too much at a time so you finish them off before they get rotten.

I do that with bananas too...it's amazing how fast they go bad!
Fresh pineapple is pretty awesome....I also love melon: watermelon, honeydew, cantaloupe...
Don't forget papayas!! They are low cal and with a bit of lime juice on them they are delicious!!!! I have a tree in my backyard that is loaded with them so I eat papaya just about every day....
apples, bananas, pineapple and grapes are my staples.
I mainly eat pineapple, apples, bananas, strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries.
Melons last a while in the frige. I like to alternate between honeydew and canteloupe. They taste great with strawberries.
Well I got some raspberries, pomegranate, and bananas today...
I got frozen raspberries meaning to get frozen strawberries. (since I was going to freeze them anyhow, right?) I didn't know raspberries were that expensive! (4.00 for a frozen bag? I could've gotten fresh strawberries for half that price) and I don't like the flavor, wayy to tart for me. So probably no more raspberries in the future, maybe a little for my yogurts and desserts but...eck.
