I have a very bad weakness for ice cream. Knowing this, I understand I can not NOT eat any. Are there better brands or alternatives to my ice cream cravings? :)
Answer
Ice cream is healthy - loaded with protein, calcium, riboflavin and vitamins A, B6, B12, and when fortified, Vitamin D - but it’s also loaded with less healthy sugar and saturated butterfat. With its creamy “mouth feel”, its tactile qualities make it a favorite of anyone in need of love. And so, recognize the power and create your own boundaries around ice cream. Some people eat rich ice cream only out of the home, while others buy only reduced-fat ice cream. (People like Edys.) They serve their ice cream in teacup-sized dishes, not bowls (except for the very active and rapidly growing.) They probably don't stock up on ice cream or replace it right away whenever it runs out. Others try healthier frozen confections, such as fat-free soft serve and water ices. (People like the Skinny Cow.)
