I love my pregnant butt
For the first time in my life I have a butt! It is round and sticks out. Even when I gain weight, it is in my arms and stomach, never in my butt. I always suffered from flat butt syndrome.
Now the question is How do I keep the butt and lose the weight everywher else after pregnancy? Is it even possible? Anyone have any experience with this or suggestions?
Thanks
Heh. My husband's family calls it "Noassatall Disease." They all suffer from it.
You can't target specific areas to lose weight. You can tone specific areas, though. I'm sure there are a lot of people here that can give you certain toning exercises to do in order to build up your butt ![]()
Unfortunately, you can't decide where you lose fat from. You CAN on the other hand decide where you want to build muscles.
Definitely start strength training that targets your butt muscles. Squats and lunges are great for the area. You don't want to tone these muscles you want to make them bigger so you get a nice round butt that doesn't jiggle! ( like the a chubby one does :P )
I found this link it might help of course you can't go all crazy in your pregnant state, but you can start out slowly and after the baby is born you can ramp it up.

Squats are generally good exercises during pregnancy if you do them right (i.e. keep your back straight) if you are new to squatting try them against a wall

Well, I'm another one of the 'crack in the back' sufferers. I never had any ass, no matter how big or small I was. BUT! Since we moved to the new apartment, where I have to walk 5 floors up to get home, I started developing some ass. Mind you, I've been going to gym before, doing all possible ass excercises, but never got any. Now, since we moved, I gained weight, but it went all into my ass. So, I'm guessing stairs work.
I've read somewhere (but I'm not sure about it) that your body can change shape when you're pregnant due to the hormones changes, which means that your butt could stay even after you give birth and lose the weight. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
Hi there! I don't have any advise for you, but I do have some hope to give you! My sister had her first child a year ago. She got the preggers booty too and it looked so good on her! Well, so a year later, she's down to 5 lbs. more than her pre-preggers weight and it's all stuck on her butt I think! Lol, she doesn't go the gym, just watches what she eats (and she breastfed if that matters).
Deadlifts are another great exercise for your butt.
How can I make walking fun?
You have to find a way to make exercise fun or else you won't do it. If you walk indoors on a treadmill, I recommend moving outdoors into the fresh air... Read more
