Love Rice Krispies Treats? Live near an Asian market?

Quote  |  Reply
I just found a solution to my Rice Krispies treats cravings, a Korean sweet rice cake called "Haessal" (Korean text: ??).

You get a packet of two little puffy rice cookies with a bit of sugar on top.  Technically it's 95 calories per serving, but one serving is two packets!  I limit myself to one and get my sweet crunchy rice fix for half the calories! :)  And no corn syrup either.

I don't know if these are available commonly, but here is a page with a photo of the package.  My package is actually a slightly different design, but the same colors and arrangement.  Ignore the website's bit about them having high nutritional value, they don't, they're almost empty calories just like a Rice Krispies treat.  But only half! :D  If you love Rice Krispies treats, you have to try these.

Nutritional Information...in English ;) :

Ingredients: rice (origin: China), sugar, palm oil, refined salt, vanillin.

Serving Size 21g 2 packets

Calories: 95 (47.5 per pack)
Carbohydrates: 16g
Protein: 1g
Fat: 3g

This looks to me like it's 95 calories per rice cake, not per packet... am I just reading it wrong?  It looks like a serving size is 21g, with 95 calories, but a whole packet is 47.5 g or 2 servings...
ooh! i know what those are! XD it's good to be asian, isn't it?
One serving is 2 packs, 21 grams, 95 calories.  One pack is 47.5 calories, i.e. half of 95.
