I normally weigh in on Sundays but I will try to weigh on Sat. if that is what needs to be done!

Im slowly getting over my back injury so I should be able to pick up the exercise this Sunday. I cant wait. I feel like a big slug. LOL. I have been doing great calorie wise.

So what do we do besides post our weekly weigh-ins on Saturdays? Post our calories and workouts and such daily or...?

May I join? I too am new here, and wish to be 15ish pounds less heavy by Feb, or at least, by the end of Feb. I'm new to the whole dieting thing, so actually having and keeping to a goal could prove, challenging.

Thats my exact goal actually!

I'm aiming for 20pounds (if I can't do better) by February!

I'm trying to loose the extra pounds for the holiday season so I'm on a very strict diet and exercise program.

I'm in too! Going to Mexico for my friend's wedding + vacation at the start of Feb, so I need to lose as much as I can between now and then. Haven't gotten into a bikini in five years :(

I agree.  I like the idea of a longer goal date time period.  I would be stoked to just lose the last, stubborn 5 lbs.   I set out at 270 to get to 150 having been at my thinnest 152 in 10th grade and 155 after a crazy Atkins stint a few years back.   I have seen 153 with some consistency, but it is SO MUCH slower now then it was when I started. 

My weight loss plan is just my life now.   I run with my dog or ride a bike, with some strength training, pretty much every day.   I eat 1500-1700.  Booze is a tough one for me.  I am TRYING not to drink but maybe once a week on weekends until the holidays.  Sort of for losing, but osrt of just to prove to myself I can do it.  I drink too much ---  nothing crazy, but you know empty cals are bad and all.  =P   I drink 3 33 oz bottles of water at work (try and succeed almost all week every day -- just habit) and drink more at home, no even diet soda.   I try to be very aware of my sodium and keep it low.  it makes me retain water = gain, annoying, but manageable, eh?  I get lots of fiber/pill, take a vitamin, lots of veggies and tons of fruit.    more fish and chicken then red meat.     if I eat the right food, I find I get a lot to eat.   I also made a huge list of snacks and ideas when I first started as I found things I liked that were GOOD, satisfying substitutes for my old, "bad" favorites.   Kiss   LOL --- I did not mean to spout a bunch of junk, but I liked the paragraph I started.    It was kind of cool to hear myself talk about how my mental outlook has changed since June O7 at 230  (270, last time I got down to 155 doing Atkins)  WOW.   

All my other challenges are more short terms like Xmas or New Year's, so this one will be good.   ( ;

I'd love to hear any so close you can taste it, plateau busting tips besided zigzagging and changing my workouts.  (I'm trying those already)

GOAL clothes --  HECK YEAH.  I do that all the time.   My swim suit when I went on vacation to Cali.  I have to go to prom every year, so I use my dress to get going.  or  I don't always buy though. go try on clothes at the end and beginning of a season -- scope out what you would love to buy, find the size the fits, and try it on when you go grocery shop.  I go to WalMart, but it is an easy way to check yourself.  

I saw a lot of "I'm news too"   welcome to cc.  it rocks.    take measurements now before you lose much.   sometimes the scale lies, but the inches never do.   ( :    cheers!

Please count me in..... I am going on a cruise Feb 14 so I seriously would like to fit in my size 12 clothes which I have bought for the occasion.    20 lbs in 12 weeks is a great start toward losing my goal of 50 lbs overall.

Hey babygtbck,  you can always plan the day ahead and type in what you plan to eat in advance and if things change you just delete it. I have been amazed what I have been eating when I thought I was eating pretty healthy. This week I have shopped the outsides of the grocery store, veggies, fruits, calcium, lean meats and some high fiber breads. I go with what I am hungry for, today I planned on burgers for dinner and so I ate lightly early on to save the calories. I will serve hubby regular buns but mine will be a double fiber English muffin for extra nutrition. I had no idea 1,200 calories was this easy to stay on.......but I did give up Pepsi....heck, I was consuming 44 ounces a day!

AJTIMES24U, thanks, I would never go out in public dressed in anything like that unless it looks good, just putting the challenge on the internet has made it "real"........like, I BETTER do well!!!

Hi!  I am totally new to this site, but this is exactly what I'm trying to do!  I'll join!  It will be great to have support of like-minded people.  It feels like I'm the only one around me right now in my life who is really dedicated to loosing weight/keeping fit, so its real easy for me to wander off my target path... I go to a very demanding college so I have very limited gym time and my friends are constantly going out for milkshakes at 1am and starbucks all the time ;_;

Hon if that picture you have is you.. There is no way you should lose 40 lbs unless you gained weight since the picture. You will be anorexic. You look perfectly fine to me.

Ok, of to a bad start, missing a training session today which would have burnt about 1200 cal (or so CC says) But I have a cold, I blame the weather, not my overall lazyness and dislike of pain. I'll make up for it! Somehow... 

Can I join?  my goal is 10-12 and my birthday is Feb 8 so that will be my goal date!

and tweeko....what is your training session like if you burn 1200?  i want in!!
