I would love to start a group for people who want to lose 20 by Feb.. Who's with me
We can weigh in on saturday because I work about 8 to 13 hours a day and I'm off on the week end... Good luck and I hope you will join me...
Reason: Moved from Weight Loss to Games & Challenges forum
Yeh! I lost 2.8 lbs but its always easy in the beginning. I did cardio 4 times and weights twice last week. I have been good with my diet all days but Saturday - had a few more almonds then I should have (who knew they had so many calories). But today I did great - went shopping ALL day but had packed a bag of various fruits so I could munch all day til I got home for dinner to have a veggie burger. Now if I can make it to bedtime without cheating...... Til next Saturday ... Good luck everyone!

Hello everyone. I posted that I wanted to join but then lost the forum...silly me. I am definitely in for the challenge but having a hard time sticking to my plan. I NEED HELP. Can someone please give me an example of their meal plan for the day. I eat almost anything except for red meat and sea food. I like to eat oatmeal, egg whites, toast and peanut butter for breakfast but lunch and dinner I am having a hard time. PLEASE GIVE ME SUM IDEAS.
OH yea I didn't lose a pound this week at all because I haven't really been focused so 158 it is...
completely spazzed and forgot to weigh in. sorry!!!
last week 154
this week -- 152.6 (first major loss I have seen in a while) it is so much harder this close to my goal.................. YAY!!!!
CONGRATS Janay I wish I was following your footsteps..
Hi Aj times24u you said you like oatmeal , well have some oatmeal and fruit in the morning. I make mine with lowfat milk. a little oj is good. before lunch some string cheese. lunch a big salad with whatever kind of veggies you like in it and some chicken breast is good. I don't know if you like italian dressing but if you do the good seasons italian dressing in the packs you make yourself are sooo good. I have the bottle that you use to make it with, and I never put as much oil in as it tells you to. I use mostly balsalmic vinegar a little water and about 2 tablespoons of olive oil for the whole pack. mix it up and use about a table spoon or two to coat the salad. have some fruit before dinner for a snack. and then have a dinner with lean protein and veggies not alot of oil or butter to cook with. The rice pudding jello makes in the milk isle is only 70 calories and delicious for a night time snack . Or at weight watchers they taught me a little recipe: You get a chocolate ghramn cracker break it in half, put about a tablespoon or two of reddi whip in between the crackers and make a sandwich freeze in the freezer and it comes out like a ice cream sandwich. you can make a whole bunch at once and store them in a freezer bag. If you have a sweet tooth urge they are there and the calories are not to high and it is lowfat. Good luck!!!
Sorry Im late weighing in! I was away from the computer all weekend!
I didnt see any loss at all this week :( But im doing alot of weight training so im going to blame it on the muscle gain! I did lose 2 inches tho, So I feel good about that!!
Keep up the good work everyone!!
Thanks for the ideas baby I like the way the graham cracker sandwich sounds. I am going to try that tonight. I remember when I was lost weight the last time I used to eat alot of salads but I am just tired of salads. If I can get myself to the weight I want I guess its going to be salad... smile

How is everyone doing?! I have decided that if I am serious about this...I am going to have to give up drinking--I tried the "I'll just have one glass of wine" thing, and it didn't work. Then drinking makes me not care about what I eat and it turns into a mess!
Anyone have any other obstacles or strategies?
I have been withdrawing from soda for the past 2 days. LOL well today is actually the 3rd day. It has been really hard as I was drinking at least 5 cups a day. It was diet but still I don't need all those added fake sugars. The caffeine alone was giving me headache so I needed to drink more to feel better. I have had headaches the past 2 days but I heard that is because my body is so used to having the caffeine that it is asking for more. I am doing this though. I have used water to substitute for the soda and have been drinking about 6 cups of water a day. I haven't yet given up my coffee because I feel that would be too much. Slow and steady I say.
hey clg --- you named my biggest hurdle. drinking is something that snowballs and makes other things harder than they should be.....
Another thing I am hating right now is I was an EVERY DAY work out girl until it got to be 14 degrees at 5AM when I want to run. BBBBBRRRRRRRRRRRRRR --- I have an indoor bike --- it';s just way boring compared to running which I love. Working that out now......
ALso this time of year ---- this gray, gloomy weather makes me a little depressed. Working on that too. ( :
Count me in. 207# on Monday, but this morning I am at 204.5. I was down to 183 a year or so ago, but then partially tore my rotator cuff and had to go to rehab instead of working out during the days. I want back down to around 180#!
Hey is it too late to join?

I am with you Janay...I was working out like 5 days a week and then got super busy with work and other things and was only able to make it a few days out of a few weeks--not good. Trying to get back into a work out routine now! oh...and went out to dinner with the bf last night which meant wine...but I was able to do good with dinner (salad with smoked salmon and light vinaigrette)...but desert was bad news! I couldn't talk the bf out of ordering it, but when I was trying to sleep and felt too full and gross, I was able to recommit! I hate that feeling but its good motivation to avoid eating/drinking so much next time~!
glad I am not the only one, clg! I hear you too on the overeating and how you feel afterwards. ( : ME TOO --
Awww, seems I'm back up about a pound. 78kg, thats the opposite of help! Although, it was my own fault entirely, almost no sleep, caffeine drinks, xmas and birthday shindigs. ¬ ¬
Ah well, excuses don't help. Will just have to do more exercise from now on. Good luck for everyone else though! Be strong in the face of fancy dress partys!
Down about 1lb this week! And who knows if that is accurate because my body fluctuates so much each day! But it wasnt a gain so Im happy about that. Im just hoping that this process speeds up a little bit since I have been calorie counting and working out 5x a week for about a month and a half now! starting to get a little frustrated....
How did everyone else do!?
sorry ---- forgot. TTOM right now, so up a bit, but not bad at all. I am calling it a maintain. ( :
