LovePotion#9: Colognes that drive women crazy?

Quote  |  Reply

Hey,

I need some input. I'm going to a party in couple of weeks, where the current guy to girl ration is like 1:6. In the past, I knew some women who brandished the craziest cologne. I mean this stuff would just make a fella sick (in a good way). So I know there's scents out there that make women weak. Here's where you come in; what do you suggest? Right now, I have Hugo Boss, Cool Water (Davidoff), Obsession (Calvin Klein), and Drakk Noir.

Also, just to be clear, I am a Christian, and my goal is simply to leave a lasting impression. Your input would be appreciated!

***UPDATE***

Well the party was a lot of fun. I prayed, beforehand, that we would all enjoy the vitality of our youth, as we're single and this will be the only time in our lives when that is so. Also that we could enjoy each others company and not worry about "hooking" up (in the dating sense).

As far as the cologne project, I found myself closing in on proximity with certain people, which I laugh at (I could see it in a sitcom).  Truthfully, most of the night I was next to my ex-girlfriend so I don't think I left any "lasting impressions".

The good news it that the following day I was wearing the same cologne, Cool Water by Davidoff, and my roommate noticed it from a couple of feet away, which means, most everyone, at one time or another, received a slight hint of it.

Thanks for all your comments.

Christian Dior Fahrenheit or Joop (unsure of maker) both very distinctive and gorgeous
Swiss Army cologne for men makes me weak in the knees...

Chanel Platinum is a close second.

Well, I don't know what most of those smell like, but I know that Drakkar Noir used to drive me nuts.  My tastes have shifted a bit so I prefer more musky smelling stuff now, as long as it's subtle.

However, and this goes for any cologne, if you wear too much, it doesn't matter how good it smells, it will be a turn off.

And, this is a personal preference, there's always something to be said about just smelling clean.  That way, you won't clash with any perfume any women might be wearing.  Just a thought...

I also am a fan of Fahrenheit. My husband wears it and for a short time we were apart. We dated then brooke up and everytime I would smell it I would turn around to see if he was there. Then later married him.
Get whatever Anne Bancroft was selling in the movie.
well babyd by default, I have to pay special attention to a Tom Brady fan Laughing
excellent points saontonacci, I'll scrub twice just to be sure.
I love when my husband wears Kennith Cole :)

I like that last name.

Tell me, does he spray it on his shirt, or skin? My boss told me I should put it on my skin because it's suppose to react better.

Ann Bancroft? ....a little help dnrothx
Yeah he sprays it on his skin

Fahrenheit you say....

I see, thank you for quick reply.
Whatever you choose, just don't make it too stong.

Its so annoying when I can smell a guy whose like 15 feet away. Not to mention it gives me a headache.

My boyfriend wears Old Spice deoderant, and thats strong enough. I think some guy deoderants are stronger than others though.
Your welcome :)

Very true about our deorderant...and oddly enough I wear old spice)

I like it to be subtle enough that i get a nice good whiff when i hug him, and can still smell it when i'm a few feet away.

I'd go with what you're doing, two sounds about right.

Oh right, the all important "hug", I completely forgot about that. There's no need for them to smell me before (or after) that. And it'll leave them wanting more....perfect!

Dolce & Gabbana by D&G for men

Aqua di Gio

Kenneth Cole Black
