Who Loves Coffee!!
Who here drinks coffee every morning to get their day started?! If so... what type do you drink (flavored, columbian, etc...) and how do you drink it!
I drink coffee every morning and I absolutely LOVE flavored coffee! The best types I have EVER tried are: Strawberry Shortcake Coffee & Banana Nut Split Coffee!!
I LOVE my coffee. It's one habit I absolutely refuse to give up LOL
!!!
I also consider myself very much a "Coffee Snob." I only drink (very strong) Starbucks Espresso Roast (I buy the Costco packed stuff) and I grind my own each day. I MUST have my half and half and a little skim milk.
I won't even think about drinking restaurant coffee LOL!!!
I do splurge on mocha's every weekend, but even there, I'm very picky!! My hubby hates ordering coffee for me because I'm so dang specific... Here's what I order: 16 oz triple mocha, skim milk, 1/2 the chocolate and barely warm
Jee, I wonder why he hates to order LOL!!!!
I'm becoming a coffee snob, but since I get my daily coffee at work, I pretty much drink the same thing everyday: Folger's with 1 teaspoon of raw turbinado sugar (which I bring from home), 1 packet of equal, and 1 tablespoon of creamer.
At home, I drink the latest thing I'm trying. Right now it's still Folger's, but the dark roast Columbian - I love it. I brew it with cinnamon and cloves added to the grounds, and then take it with 1 teaspoon of raw turbinado sugar, 1 packet of equal, and 1 tablespoon of sugar free vanilla caramel coffee mate.
If at Starbucks, I might try their coffee of the day, but I have a hard time resisting a skinny cinnamon dulce latte with an extra shot - mmmmmm.
The best coffee I ever had, though, was when I was in the Dominican Republic. Very strong, very dark, and very thick stuff where the smell takes up the entire room, and just-picked-and-roasted-yesterday fresh (literally). Mixed it with a lot of brown sugar and real cream, and the flavor was out of this world. Very bad for me, but oh so good.
I need morning coffee as well. I drink one 16-oz travel mug full every week day morning. At home on the weekends I make a 4-cup pot or maybe two. I like a really mild coffee like Dunkin Donuts. We have a really good blend at work (odd, since most work-provided coffee tends to be horrible and bitter) but its a no-name brand. I just buy a regular breakfast blend at home. Light creamer and splenda. Sometimes as a treat (if I know the workday is going to be hell, for example) I get a large from Dunkin Donuts with REAL cream and splenda.
I became a coffee snob after working at Starbucks. I think flavoured coffee, and speciality latte's are disgusting and completely ruin the drink. I drink all my coffee black, only americanos and doppio espressos. Sometimes I splurge on Kona blend to have high quality brewed coffee, but it is too expensive to by all the time.

I think Starbucks drip coffee is awful. It's so bitter and gross. Local coffee shops almost always have better coffee beans...
Coffee snobs I work with refer to it as "Charbucks" because they insist that the coffee is over roasted - however if you like the lattes, you don't notice.
There aren't a whole lot of local or "mom and pop" coffee shops anymore, and most of them aren't near where I live - sigh. (Otherwise, I would prefer to go those places.)
I am totally a coffee snob. I like a mild to medium roast so you can still taste the original bean, not just that burnt flavour of a very dark roast like Starbucks. I drink it black, and I usually have two in the morning and maybe one in the afternoon.
I also love my coffee. I'm not right until I've had my coffee as soon as I get out of bed. Also after every meal all I want is a cup of coffee.
Yes! I am in fact drinking a mahoosive mug right now :) Aaah, the one thing I've missed about my parents' house is their coffee. All I have at home right now is Asda value stuff because I can't afford anything better....
So I'm taking full advantage of the yummy, expensive Colombian stuff they horde. 6 cups in one day... Ha, no wonder I didn't get to sleep til 6 in the morning yesterday.
I love it hot, black, and strong! I actually really like Starbucks--but then I like bitter flavors, so maybe that's why. Not a big fan of flavored coffees. Will only add cream if it's bad coffee, so I try to stick to the pricey stuff that I can drink withou adding calories to it.
i like it with milk or cream and regular old sugar. i just can't do artificial sweetener in my coffee. i also love flavored coffees and flavored creamers (though i don't love the creamer calories). one of my favorite things in the world is a medium french vanilla from dunkin donuts with milk and sugar. YUM! or iced coffee from dunks when it's warm out!
mmmmm coffeeeeee....
I'm definitely in the coffee snob category. I use Sumatra Gayo Mountain organic, fair-trade beans from Stumptown Coffee Roasters in Portland, Oregon. I make my espresso every morning in a Bialetti espresso maker. When I want something sweet, I make a half-soymilk, half-almond milk vanilla latte with Madagascar Bourbon pure vanilla extract and agave syrup. mmmm snobbery is yummy.
I'm a Peet's girl, Major Dickason Blend or French Roast and brewed strong. 16 ounces in the morning but thats it. I can't handle drinking coffee all day long. And I put real sugar in it!!!
IMO, Starbucks coffee is crap.
I got burned out on flavors working as a barista... I had the ambitious goal of drinking each of the 70-100 flavors my first week so I could describe "exactly" what they were like. However, I like my coffee strong and sludgy, but I love to have my fat-free flavored creamers to smooth it out. Absolute favorites are Sumatra (rich and strong without being overpowering) and Mocha Java (natural inherent sweetness, smooth and almost creamy on its own).
i love coffee...and while i prefer really good, dark shade grown, organic, fair trade coffee, like jules, i'll drink any coffee.
if it's good, i drink it black...if it's crap, i add a little whole milk to it. if i find myself at starbucks, i'll get an americano and add a touch of milk (or the occasional iced latte).
not a fan of flavored coffees or creamers at all, but a recent fan of decaf after dinner.
Oh my goodness...I should not have read this thread! I've been trying to eliminate sugar AND artificial sweeteners from my diet, but now I am totally craving a sugar-free coconut soy latte! yikes.
