Low cal Low fat lunch idea

Quote  |  Reply

I love tuna but really miss mixing in the creamy mayo. Since I dont care for the light versions I tried to get creative to add some moisture and make a tastey tuna salad that is low in cals and fat.

Makes a quick healthy lunch for around 200 calories with tons of protein.

Ingredients

1 tbs prepared hummus (25 cals.)

1 can albacore tuna (120 cals.)

1/2 c baby spinach julienned

diced onion to taste

squeeze of lemon juice

1/2 stalk celery diced

salt and pepper to taste

Mix everything together and enjoy open faced on a slice of light wheat bread (50 cals).

Hope you like it as much as I do!

Sounds great! I also like to take tuna and mix it with a bit of basalmic vinegar and chopped tomatoes with a sprinkle of cheddar cheese!

I'm going to have to try that!

I usually make mine w light miracle whip and then a lot of chopped onion and pickles for bulk! haha

Sometimes, I'll use Kraft Free Peppercorn Ranch.....it's low in sugar, and cals...of course, you have to like ranch for it to taste good! But I use it in my spinach, tuna and cheese salads, so I figured it would taste good like that,t oo!
