Low-cal granola?

Quote  |  Reply

Does anyone have a recipe for low-cal granola? I assume this can be made by not using oil, but I'm wondering how to make it so it turns out crunchy and good still. Thanks for any help!

I don't know.  The oil is what makes it crunchy.  Maybe google for low fat granola recipes?

i believe you can use apple juice in place of oil, that should cut some calories
I don't have a recipe but Bob's Red Mill brand makes a lower cal granola (~180 cals per 1/2 cup)

why don't you buy a box of kashi go lean honey almond flax cereal. Its soo yummy and crunchy and only 200 calories for a whole cup and stays crunchy. I mix mine with yogurt and its delicious.

ive heard of puttin egg whites on the oats b4 baking instead of oil on oats to make the granola crunchy but ive never tried it myself....cud work tho?
