I know this is an old thread. But for those that are recently finding these great suggestions, I wanted to mention that baby carrots are just regular carrots cut to be smaller. Google it, they even have their own Wikipedia page in case no one believes me.

  • Air-popped popcorn.
  • Fruit with natural pb.
  • Raw veggies with hummus or salsa.
  • Weight watchers pita filled with banana slices.
  • Fruit smoothie.

i was wondering if you know where to buy the94% fat free popcorn already popped?

boiled eggs!! i swear they fill me up! 90 calories each and eat one or to and i'm full for hours. it's all full of protein!

It's true! Hard boiled eggs are freakishly filling.

try oatmeal. they are very filling and low calorie, or fage yogurt.

  • baby carrots (dipped in salsa or low-sodium soy sauce for more flavor)
  • sugar free gum
  • crystal light
  • diet soda
  • coffee/tea
  • frozen peaches, strawberries or mixed berries (let them kinda melt in your mouth...takes longer to eat, feels more indulgent and fills you up more!)
  • strawberries (50 cals per 1 cup!)
  • celery (dipped in salsa or low sodium soy sauce)
  • fiber one (60 calories per serving!)
  • cottage cheese (90 calories, 16 gm protein!  i mix in lots of cinnamon for flavor)
  • cucumbers...so good!
  • pickles (not bread & butter as these have lots of sugar!)

All you guys are mentioning is fruits and veggies...how bout some dinner ideas? :P

I found this really easy and obvious dinner idea. It took me a couple months to figure it out :P. I was having the same problem, I often felt sick to my stomach since my belly wasnt used to NOT being full. The serving size recommendation on this meal makes it only 350 cals. For a full filling bowl its about 530 cals.  Plus its pasta...so its filling.

Read the pasta labels at the grocery store. Did you know that with rotini you can have 3/4 cups and its 210 calories...with regular macaroni its only 1/2 cup.

I measure out 1 cup of rotini pasta. 3/4 cups dry is 210 calories. So i estimate 1 cup to be 280 calories. I cook my pasta then add 1/2 cup of ragu's sauce (70 calories). I do not add butter. I add a sprinkle of pepper to flavor. That meal is 350 calories!!!

Now, for a good dinner sized serving (a full bowl). I add more noodles (do the math to get to the calorie amount you are willing to spend). I find a full bowl of noodles is about 530 calories for the full dinner and leaves me feeling nice and content in my belly.

Now, for better taste I might sacrifice some noodles for butter. I never buy regular butter or margarine. I buy the light stuff that comes in a tub. It lasts great because you can store it easier...its spreadable right out of the fridge. and its lower calorie!!

**EDIT** Other snacks that help me lose weight and are under 300 cals are: Kelloggs protein bars (yummy chocolate flavors), bowl of cereal with skim milk (great for vitamins), yogurt, canned tuna (if you can handle it without a huge amount of mayo), green giant's cheesy rice and broccoli, lean cuisine panini (OMG YUM...try the chicken philly it almost tastes like you bought it from a greasy philly stand MMMM), anything skinny cow brand when you are having that sweet craving attack (most desserts under 200 cals and the ice cream is fantastic- tastes like the fatty stuff).

WoW, This string started back in 2007?  No starch thankyou~ And I eat soup every day Healthy Choice Low Sodium. I dump out half the broth even if it's low sodium. Just add water or skimmed milk~ TaDaaaa

I'd like to see a LIST OF FOOD on this site that is exactly 100 Calories and 200 Calores that anyone can go pick up and toss in their mouth when they're hungry.

Well I am hungry as a hippo and thought I'd google this and here i am.
Starving~ Too early for popcorn since I like that in the evening.

Had a tablespoon of adams peanut butter on Daves Toast this AM.

Had some steamed shirmp 15 min ago and Had my fill of fat for the day. Also had a Pro Bar an hour ago.

So..................I'm thinking about a boiled egg ~ maybe make 6 of them for a handy snack.  That way you can toss the yolk if you've had too much fat.
