low calorie hot chocolate...so good! so decadent!
Ok, this is the BEST hot chocolate (or mocha, depending how you make it) for only about 30 calories. It tastes amazing. I love having it in the morning, as a mocha, or at night, to help me sleep. It's especially great since the weather is cooling down, and this'll warm you up!
Hot Chocolate
First, boil some water (about 8 oz, but depends on taste). I use Swiss Miss Diet Hot Chocolate, but really any 25 calorie instant hot chocolate mix will work. Mix the boiled water with the hot chocolate mix. Add a squirt (2 TB) of fat free whipped cream (store bought has only 5 calories!).
The swiss miss hot cocoa is surprisingly healthy (25 calories, 20% calcium or something, bit of protein, etc.) Add some coffee or espresso for a caffeine kick, or sprinkle some spices (like cinnamon for extra flavor, or try cinnamon mixed with splenda for a bit sweeter taste).
Enjoy! It's sooooo good!
Hi ! Thank you for this idea! It is getting cooler and it sounds like exactly what I need!!! Yummy!
Sounds like a low cal, but fab choc fix for the end of the day cals left over! Thanks.
A hot chocolate drink I like is 1 cup of skim milk heated up with 1 packet splenda and 1 tbsp of hot cocoa - it's 90 calories but all nutritious skim milk calories :)
Not hot chocolate but....
In korea there are these 25 calorie coffee mixes which I LOVED. it wasn't made from aspartame either, it was purevia which is stevia I think. It was natural and it didn't taste weird as I heard stevia can be.
I miss is so much T_T I want a giant pack of it now! but for now I'm adjusting with small spoon of skim milk + instant coffee mix. Not as good and I have to use splenda which is worse for me than stevia. ew.
I really want to try some of those hot chocolate mixes though! I'll be on the look out. :) I got some hot chocolate mixes during xmas from my friends mom but couldn't finish it because it was like 100-200 calories per drink and I hate drinking my calories.
