What are some low carb bread alternatives?
What are some good low carb bread alternatives? I am doing low-carb to jumpstart my 10 lb weight loss. I like bread/wraps tho and I know there are low carb versions out there...any reccomendations ?
Ezekel brand bread is pretty good. I don't think they even use flour in it. For torillas/wraps LaTortilla Factory brand.

Where can I get this Ezekel brand bread?
Flat Out has some good 100 calorie wraps (high protein like 9grams)
There is also Wasa Light Crisps (In the cracker section) 60 cal per 3 pieces
I also like Wonder Light Wheat 40 calories per slice
It's sold in Trader Joes, I think Whole Foods has it also. Might check out local health stores.
You can also wrap you sandwitches in lettuce leaves, the big ones.
Where did you get that Jospeph's pita bread?
Walmart in the bakery section. It is only 60 calories for the whole pita. Low carb and has flax and omega 3. Thin but good.
- Arnold Bakery Light 7-grain only has 40 cals a slice.
- Wasa Crispbreads are roughly 20 cals a slice

Yummmmmmmmmmmm, I love this idea.
The Western Bagel Perfect 10 bagel. I can only find these online, but they are low calorie and hearty. They DO taste healthy. I don't know what your carb count is, but they hold 10 NET carbs.
mmm I don't think I could do without my carbs.
Schmidt Old Tyme Double Fiber Bread - 2 Net carbs per sclice
Mission also has a great low carb tortilla - 5 or 7 Net carbs per 8" Tortilla
Every so often I "make my own bread".... I soak flaxseeds overnight in water first... then I doll some out on a pan that has been sprayed with non-stick olive oil spray... and then I mix in some oregano, tomato paste, egg white, thyme, basil, salt & pepper and bake in the oven - I make sure to keep my eye on it though because sometimes I like it sort of moist and sometimes I like it cracker style... This is the savory version but I also make a sweet verison that consists of egg whites, cinnamon, stevia & nutmeg which is really delicious! The reason why I really don't make this too often though is because it's so addicting! I would probably eat 38478947 calories worth before thinking twice, ha ha! Oh and if you're having "#2" issues: flaxseeds have TONS of fiber so you will definitely get regular! ha ha!
To be perfectly frank, there is no such thing as low carb bread. Bread is made from carbs, either wheat or other grain based flours or vegetable or other all carb flours in the case of ezekial bread. There may be added fat or sugars, but most of it is carbs. The only way to get "low carb" is to eat less. Anything advertised as low carb is a ruse. It's low carb because the portions are smaller. Smaller portions mean less filling. In other words, you can eat the bread you like, just eat less of it. Better yet, give it up completely or almost completely. I find it way too easy to eat lots of calories in breads because I don't find them very filling so I eat it sparingly and don't keep it in the house, lest I be tempted...lol.
