From low 200's trying to get to the mid 100's (145-155) anyone wanna do it with me (FEMALE)

This group is my effort to get support from everyone and get everyone that needs suppoort to help each other. So everyone thats in this boat thats around the 200s and is aiming to get down to the mid 100s (135-155) or less. Monday morning will be the group's official weigh in so that we can talk about progress and give support if people are having problems and not losing as much as they would like.

I am wanting to get a new scale.  I just have like a 10 dollar one from walmart right now and I want to get a digital one but I don't want to spend too much money.  Any suggestions of good ones? Thanks!!

This is an EXCELLENT forum. Thanks for posting it. I am SOOO excited, everyone. For the first time in my life I am truly resolved to live better. I officially began my journey on Friday, February 1, 2008. I was 223.6 and, as of this morning, I am 215.6. I look forward to this Friday because I am going to get my 10-pound loss reward- a really cute laptop bag, with matching padfolio and planner. My goal is 2.5 lbs/week. So far so good!

I run for almost half an hour six days a week in the morning and watch everything I put in my mouth. My drink of choice is water ONLY. I feel so much better already and can not WAIT to start getting those "did you lose weight? You look great!" comments. Hang in there, everyone! The best is yet to come!

Starting Weight: 208 lbs  

Goal Weight: 145 lbs

Mini Goal:  180 lbs

Last Week: 196 lbs

Current Weight:  194 lbs 

Weight Lost This Week:  2 lbs

Weight Remaining Until Goal: 49 lbs

I am totally doing the "happy dance" today!! I thought for sure I would gain or at min stay the same after drinking on Sat night. We'll I still lost 2 lbs!!! I cannot believe it, this is the 1st time in my life I have seen the scale go down like this. I uploaded some new photos of me taken on Sat night.  See if you can tell a difference in my before and afters. 21lbs lost total since May 07. Didn't get serious about losing until I came on here though on 1/22/08 weighing 208. YAY!!!

Hi, good to see everyone is doing well. I wont be weighing in until tomorrow as ive been away for a long weekend, no scales.

I have been to visit my family. Everyone has been saying i look like ive lost weight, which is great. But, spending time at mums it is sooo hard to stay on track. We went for a 3 course thai on saturday. I ordered the the lowest cal options, grilled satay, prawns and steamed rice and mango sorbet, but it was still more than i should have. Then my mum cooked bakewell tart and lemon meringue pie over the weekend. I had a very small piece of each. So i have to get back on track this week.

Monday weigh-in:

Height: 5'8"

Starting Weight on 1/1/08: 242 lbs

Goal Weight: 160 lbs

Mini Goal: 199 lbs

Last Week: 232.5 lbs

Current Weight: 230 lbs

Weight lost this week: 2.5 lbs

I had a rough weekend, but still had a weight loss over all.  I can't help but think if I'd done better it would have shown on the scale.  I will try harder this week to eat better and exercise more. 

Monday weigh-in:

Height:  5' 7"

Starting Weight: 400 lbs

Goal Weight: 145 lbs

Mini Goal:  199 lbs (break the 200 barrier)

Last Week: 204 lbs

Current Weight:  202 lbs 

Weight Remaining Until Goal: 57 lbs

Total Weight Lost: This Week = 2 lbs  / Total = 198 lbs  

Not quite as good as the 4 pounds I lost last week but I'll take it!!!

Starting weight: 217 lbs when I started here on Jan 31,2008

Goal weight 150 lbs

Mini goal:  200 lbs

I am glad that at least I lost something since I did not do good on my eating this weekend with company in the house.  I did learn that it doesn't pay to eat the wrong things.

my water weight weight from not drinking enough water is gone in one day!  If I wasn't convinced that enough water was important, I now do for sure!    Over 2 pounds overnight... suddenly I am very thristy.  I need to somehow remember to drinnk more on the weekends!

i had a bad weekend, so 1 lb isnt too bad. i will try harder this week.

What a difference a day makes!   Yesterday I was 209.2 and today I am 207.4!  I ate wrong all weekend and I am sure my sodium intake was terrible so being good yesteday got me back on track!  It sure is a morale boost because I was getting down about losing so slowly when I am trying so hard most days.  It will be a great day today!

I restarted for REAL on Feb 5th at 202...my mini goal is to be  195 by March 5th...totally doable right????

 

I would say totally doable, just stick with what you've been doing and it will happen.

I'm doing the 'happy dance'!!! I started at 215, got down to 205, and stayed that way for two weeks, I had my weigh in yesterday, and I'm down to 202! My first goal is to get too 199, and my next goal is to get to 190 in time for my birthday in april. How I broke my plateau??? I drank tons of water, and basically eliminated diet soda, now i have one can a week as a treat, and i've upped my salad intake, and "stir-fry" veggie intake.. Congrats everyone! We can do it!!

kae03, my goals are similar to yours!!! You can totally do it!! I'm rooting for you!!! Taking a giant swig of water right now!!!!

 

Jeanus, hope you are feeling  better soon...the stomach flu is going around here in a BIG way...7 people from work (of of only 25) and 2 of my kids have gotten it...I am just waiting for it...the odds of it not getting me is slim.

well I got the stomach bug...

There is no way I will get my calories in today...just can't eat.  Anyway...

Sorry to hear you are sick kaeo3.  Hope you feel better soon.  I've been having a pretty good week so far, lost another pound.  I'm trying extra hard to get in enough water and that really seems to make a difference, especially in the number of trips to the bathroom. 

Is it too late to join?
