I am about 10 pounds away from my all time goal weight!
I'm 5'8" and around 140 pounds. Everywhere on me looks fairly thin and toned except the very lowest part of my belly. It seems to bump out just under my belly button. Also a little extra fat on my thighs. I was wondering if anyone knows any good ways to diminish this pudgey belly area. Whether diet or activity or anything! thanks for any help!

dont think there is a way to lose fat in an isolated area, although some toning exercises may help the appearance by firming the muscle. from what i understand its first on, last off as far as fat iloss s concerned.
alright thanks for the help!
u have the same proberlm as me,i hate the lower belly area as it makes me look pregent with that bump sticking out n i carnt wear nice tops because of it >:(. dont even get me started on my thighs i hate just talking bout them
I have found that Tae bo really helps in both those areas. My lower stomach is flatter now than it was in high school! Hope this helps... and good luck!
im 5'8 too but 110lbs (fast metabolism) anyways i have wide hips and the lower part of my belly sticks out aswell, my bf thinks its cute ^^ but as much as i do different type of ab/tummy work outs its still there.

Have you looked at Pilates?
This is the area of my body which i dislike the most, i read an article somewhere talking about it
But driger earlier said its the first place to gain, last place to lose

That is the article i read, and found useful
Hope it helps someone else :)

If those muscles are already toned and you still have some fat, it will be hard to shift, although you might be surprised, it might come off with those last 10 pounds! If you think though that those muscles might need toning, and in most people they do, try some Pilates or Tae Bo as suggested above, or some vinyasa/ power/ flow/ Ashtanga yoga (these all have similar effects, it really needs to be one of the more strenuous yoga styles like these though).
All these exercises are good at targeting the lower abdominals which other kinds of exercise often don't reach. You need to to 2 or 3 classes a week for at least 3 months to see results usually.
Since the fashion for really low-rise jeans etc. started I see so many young women who aren't overweight at all but have slack lower abdominal muscles which creates a kind of pooch below their belly button. It's quite possible to tone these muscles and make the area flatter.
