lunch comes at an odd time for me, im in college so i usually eat breakfast between 9 and 10 then i leave for campus at 1230 and usually dont return until later in the evening. theres not a lot of amazing vegan choices on campus and i usually dont get hungry untill 3ish and am in class, whats something good i can just pull out of my purse and eat?  i usually hit up the vending machine which means pretzels or fritos which is too much carbs! it needs to be filling, vegan and around 200 calories. thanks!

some soy milk willgive you protein. Or why not make up some bean salad

1 can of mixed beans

1 or 2 tomatoes, chopped

half an onion, diced

a splash of tabasco

mix it all up and keep in a plastic container. It's good with toasted or untoasted pitta bread

something else that's filling, purse portable, and good is nuts... i'm all about almonds lately! dried dates are good, too. i buy the bags of organic pitted ones and 5 of them is super filling and like 120ish calories if i'm remembering it right. they also sell little purse packs of dried apricots in 70 calorie bags... maybe some apricots or dates and a 1/4 cup of cashews or almonds?

and this might be obvious, but what about lara bars, clif bars, or luna bars?

dried fruit is really good! you could also make a hummus sandwich...although idk if you would want to eat it in class lol.

to add to the previous post, i just bought a 6-pack of the peanut butter luna bars.....AMAZING! 180 calories and 10 grams of protein! they are also vegan

dried fruit is a good idea!

i just bought the kids version of luna bars today

the only flavor i like of luna bars is the peanut butter and i just get tired of it

I have the same situation; I eat ThinkGreen bars in blueberry noni and cranberry apple; soooo good! Also, I get the juice-box soymilk from Trader Joes, nuts, carrots with soynut butter, and fruit. I just carry it to school with me in a cute little lunchbox I got; i have a mini icepack to go in it!
