Lunch ideas
I've been eating deli turkey and ham since I've started dieting and although I am losing weight, I'd like to try something with less sodium. I usually have salads for dinner so I'd like to steer clear of them for lunch too. I usually have a sandwich, a veggie and a fruit. I'm not sure how else to branch out that takes a minimal amout of time to make and still be healthy... I also have oatmeal or cereal for breakfast. I aim to eat around 450 calories for lunch including my fruits and veggies.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I don't know if you like chicken breast, but I have my George Foreman at work with me and I bring a small boneless skinless chicken breast and some frozen veggies to work. It takes minutes and is really good. You could also eat tuna packed in water with some whole grain bread or crackers with a veggie and a peice of fruit. There are so many options out there for lunch.
I do like chicken, I have it for dinner about twice a week, yum! I also have a small George Foreman but prefer not to bring it to work.
I also put tuna on my salads sometimes. I do that once a week b/c I also have tilapia and I read somewhere to not have more than 2-3 servings of fish a week. I may start to do tuna for lunch though, I like that idea. I just can't do crackers b/c they are one of my weaknesses and I'll end up eating the whole stack when I get home :)
Thanks for the response!!

Something that always fills me up is an egg white omelette with chopped veggies. 3 egg whites has only 50 calories, and this makes a big omelette! I like to chop some onions, peppers, and tomatoes, and toss it in with the whites, then fry it up. Takes about 10 minutes, but most of the time is spent washing/chopping the vegetables.
With so few calories, you can have more for lunch, or allow yourself a bigger dinner.

You could try tuna... with fat free mayo... or bunch of veggies with fat free dip... or bring a small amount of dinner leftovers with a salad.
