The Lunchbox Diet - its's not another fad!!!

Basically you buy a large lunch box or food container and fill it with lots of veggies, salad, complex carbs and lean protein. You eat a normal healthy breakfast and dinner with pleanty of water, and then for lunch onwards you snack on the lunch box every so often until dinner time.
I started yesterday and my first lunch box consisted of:
Rocket, watercress and spinach
Chicken
Red Lentils
Pine nuts
carrot, celery, tomato
lemon juice
I really like this style of eating because i can control my calorie intake and feel satisfied!!!
Hope some of you give it a go too!
It sounds like a diet strategy to me, not a "diet". :-) A pre-portioned amount of healthy, good for you food that will not make you tempted to go buy stuff at the vending machine :-)
I agree - it sounds like more of a strategy than a "diet" - but a very good one.
It's such a simple idea that I'm surprised there's a specific website detailing a "plan" or "system", and selling a book. I'm typically wary of anything described as "The ____________ Diet." It's usually the first clue that it's 1) a fad and/or 2) selling something.
Not to put Lovell down or anything, but it's something someone could do without his advice / book, if they did some basic research. But then, I guess they market the book/system to people who, for one reason or another, haven't done that - which is okay too.
In other words, you have salad for lunch and eat fruit/vegetables for your snacks... that's hardly a radical idea. :P
i agree that the book isnt neccessary and it really is pretty DUH simple but i know for one that just doing this everyday is a much healthier way of snacking and getting sufficient calories because you are more aware that you are ALLOWED to snack very regularly. Its like when you are ill... you have tomato/chicken soup by the bowlful... same principle i guess
Its also great if you travel far from your gym... i have an hour to get home after weight lifting so my protein intake is no where near as affective after 20 minutes.. this really helps get it down in a decent amount without protein supplements.
