My lunge jumps look nothing like this...
spilt squat jumps, different name but same basic moves. I don't look anywhere near as graceful or motivated
.
my first 5 look like that....then they deteriorate. to the point where i look at myself in the mirror and see that I am barely making it off the ground. LOL
I call my version "Lunge Hops"
My friend and I were flipping through the book after the very first workout - we wanted to check out the torture that lay ahead. We saw the jumping squats and burst out laughing at the idea - so I had to give it a shot - my butt nearly fell between my legs and hit the floor!
ah ha!!!, its all about the arm movements. i did some last night just for the heck of it. this time i used my arms and i actually flowed a lot better, before i was just keeping my hands on my hips.
Arm movements do help, but it's sort of cheating (NOTE: I sure as heck did it!!)
If I remember correctly, you're actually supposed to keep your hands behind your head sort of like prisoner squats... at least that was what I had read on another forum. Of course if I tried to do them that way I'd fall over and probably break something. lol..
