Macrobiotic Meal Deliver

Is anyone familiar with home delivery of prepared macrobiotic meals in the Southern California area?  I am thinking about doing macrobiotics but would like to try a week of meals before I commit the money and time to learn to cook and prepare macrobiotic meals versus just going vegetarian. 

Macrobiotic meals wouldn't cost a lot to make... and learning to cook is something you can't put off for ever. 

At heart, a macrobiotic meal will be just good, natural, simple ingredients - organic of course - prepared with some herbs for flavour.  And food that's been ready-prepared, chilled, delivered and reheated is going to be very disappointing and much poorer quality/texture/flavour than something you've created fresh.

Actually, I know of other parts of the country where food is prepared by someone extensively trained in macrobiotic cooking and is able to make food for daily delivery or pick up that is fresh and customized to your "prescription."  Please keep in mind some people may not be able to do the cooking themselves due to illness.  I am just wondering if anyone knows of someone in Southern California who can provide this service.

Your original post said you didn't want to "commit the money and time to learn to cook and prepare macrobiotic meals"..... nothing about illness.   Have you tried 'Meals on Wheels'?

Yes, perhaps money and time are relative to some people and it's not your place to judge.  If you have information then provide it.  Posting for the sake of posting is not what people are looking for. 

i don't think gi-jane was judging anything just going by what you said about taking the time to learn to cook. i think it was actually good advice, and i would say that if you are worried about money, which it sounded like in your post, it would probably be cheaper to cook it yourself. now maybe im just posting for the sake of trying to explain where gi-jane was coming from. anyway good luck.
