I made it!!

Okay, for the first time in my life I have successfully made it through one full week of a diet without cheating or giving up.  I weighed myself this morning and was 130.  Okay so that isn't a change from my starting weight but I think that I have to give it more time for my body to catch up.  I don't know if I should be proud of myself being that I didn't lose any weight, but you know what I actually have faith in my diet program.  Has anyone else experienced no weight loss after the first week?  Should I be trying something different?  Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated!

I think you did great!  The fact that the scale is saying otherwise is just one of those little ironies of life that is trying to egg you on to quit... keep going and the scale (but especially your clothes feeling looser!) will catch up!
the first weeks are always the hardest and the most frustrating.  I lost 10 lbs by just changing my diet, but I wasn't counting or anything.  I really wanted to get serious about what I ate (mostly knowing the nutrient ratios) and excercising and I have actually gained about 1.5 lbs...but.... I have also lost a total of 1 inch in the last two weeks from my waist and hips and my arms look more muscular.  I have just started weight training again and the little bit of gain is due to muscle, once my body gets used to my new routine it will catch up and I'll start to burn fat.  It's hard to  not let that number on the scale get me down, but I feel better and look better so I know it's working.  Keep up the great work!  If you ever need and good food tips let me know.  I have actually managed to have a very healthy diet with foods I love ( I don't even feel like it's a diet!)
congrats!!!! keep it up ;)
It's rough to get used to change, but you've rocked it so far! You should be proud, and we're proud too! (I speak for the collective:P). Keep on going!

Congratulations!!!  That's awesome!

Well done on your first week! I admire your positive attitude. I'm guessing you don't have a lot of weight to lose so you might lose a bit slower than most ppl. The important thing is to not give up. You know you're doing well so that's what matters. Good luck :)
My experience has been very similar. Hang in there and keep up the good work. I keep telling myself I'm building myself a foundation - of health and future weight loss.
