What made you realize you were off track, and what did you do to get back on?

Okay, so I guess I am a little more dense than most.

For me, it took gaining weight so rapidly that i got stretch marks on my hips and finally getting on the scale to find that I was back up 12 lbs from my lowest weight.

I think 3 things caused me to get off track:

1. working long hours on work and volunteer projects

2. biking to work, so feeling like i "deserved" to eat whatever i felt like

3. settling in with a new boyfriend

Things I am doing to fix it:

1. committing to yoga 3-times per week again

2. minimizing sugar and white rice and flour again

3. planning healthy activities with the boyfriend (long bike rides  or running together on the weekend)

Hey, good post idea!

What got me off-track:

  1. Spring break - so much unstructured time, and it's safe to say that my eating was screwy almost every single day last week.
  2. Being told to drop two of my dance classes. :(  :(  :(
  3. Not enough sleep - I did sleep in very well during break, but now that I'm back at school I realize how little sleep I get in and how it effects my moods/eating urges.
  4. Weekends in general.  I.  HATE.  WEEKENDS.  Always screw me up!

What I am doing to get back on track:

  1. Motivator: starting the rest of my dance classes again, despite the two dropped.  And one of them is on a Saturday, so YAY for having something to do on Saturday!
  2. Being back in school- structured time!
  3. Committing to some sort of exercise on Sundays.

I have not gained any weight yet, but I can tell that I'm falling into my old habits and am in danger of gaining weight soon.

1) Too busy with work and school schedule, so my exericse schedule is less consistent as it once was. Exercise helped me live and eat healthier.

2) I am more lax with my snack eating.

3) I don't eat as often due to schedule.

Things I want to do to get back on track:

1) Cut "eat whatever I want" to cheat meals or days instead of most days.

2) At least take a walk every day, especially if I'm physically tired from remodeling the house.

3) Keep track of calories in my head.

Whenever I'm on holiday I get off track a lot more...I become a lot less active than I usually am at college (less walking etc) so I have to really watch myself! I try to do more stretching/weight exercises at home and really monitor my cals...
