What made you WANT to lose weight ?
What is the thing that made you realize you HAD to lose weight ?
I realized how out of control I was, how unhealthy I felt. What REALLY put the nail in the coffin though, was when it hit me that I had lost 15lbs last year then gained it all back within 4 months. 4 months?! Do you know how much you have to eat to gain that much in that little bit of time?
So New years rolled around and January 1st, I started aaall over again. Been having to relearn all the basics. 5 small meals a day, exercise consistently, get a good defecit, think positive, and quit hating myself!
I had become too lazy to care about anything anymore. I didnt expect anything out of myself. Threw the pity parties about how terrible my life was blah blah blah. Then I decided i didnt want it anymore. I faced the fact that no one can change my situation in life but me. No one can go to school for me, take care of my house, lose my weight....but me. It was time to take control. It's not easy but its worth it.
Im losing weight to feel better about myself. Because it needs to be done before it gets any worse. :)
Honestly, I was trying on bathing suits in the dressing room at Target and I looked so bad I almost cried. It was terrible, seriously. I had lost about 10 lbs in the past year or so so I was walking around thinking that I looked pretty good and it was like a slap in the face. Also, I haven't had a boyfriend in a couple of years and while I was pretty much in denial about being overweight I realized that there is no point in making excuses to yourself. If you can't be honest with yourself, you're never going to get anywhere. Also, my whole family is skinny. Currently I am 5'8" and 142 lbs and I still feel like a cow next to my sister who is 5'7" and 118. :< Anyways, just from losing what I have already I feel so much better all the time. It's great to wear shorts and tight shirts and not have to worry about a belly or love handles! I'm hoping if I get to my goal weight of 135 I'll be happy with my body because right now I still see a lot I want to fix. But seven pounds is a lot and I cannot wait to get there! My goal is to do this by the time school starts again (September 23rd...). I know I can do it because this has seriously become a lifestyle change for me, not just a fad diet. Good luck to all :)
