Magazine Suggestions
My parents have started getting into buying magazine subscriptions. I like the idea, but want something that will support this new healthy lifestyle. Any suggestions??

Cooking Light! It's great :-)
I also like Real Simple.

I love the following:
Oxygen - my favourite! -its all about fitness and such, i love the work outs it suggest, its aimed towards people interested in competing in fitness and figure, so some of the woman can look pretty buff, but they are not BODYBUILDERS.. its motivating!
Shape- is good, sometimes I think it doesnt have enough workout stuff, good nutritional tips and health and beauty tips
Fitness- my friend really likes this one, similar to Shape

Runner's World is my favorite fitness magazine, and i'm not even a runner!
Cooking Light is great.
I also really like Shape - thinking about subscribing myself. It has a positive healthy/fitness outlook, good exercises and interesting recipes.

I think I like Men's Fitness, but that may not be fully appropriate for you :) Sorry :) It's the only one I've tried to read so far! :D
yeah, I didn't like Health much.
I like Health. My library carries it so I can read it for free...

I love health; I have a subscription. A good one that I picked up last week was Weight Watchers magazine actually, haha. I mean of course a lot of it is promo for their products but if you're looking for some great recipes this magazine had some, along with excercise tips and other suggestions. A lot of things go by their "points system" but you don't have to be on Weight watchers to use the recipes, suggestions, and tips.
I agree, Cooking Light is great as well. Prevention is another really good magazine. =)

It's weird, but I like Men's Health. There's a lot of good stuff in there that can apply to women. (Their sister magazine, Women's Health is good too.) I don't care for fashion spreads/makeup advice, so I don't miss that stuff. I second Runner's World; it's good too. What I've seen of Cooking Light is fabulous. I'll look at Vegetarian Times on occasion; they have good recipies as well.
another vote for Cooking Light and Shape. Cooking Light can be too focused on low fat sometimes and some of their recipes are very high in sugar, though, so watch it, but for the most part their recipes are great. I've been subscribing to Shape for years. Focused on good form, which I like, and there's always a new workout or exercise that I use to change up my routine. Highly recommended.
I just started subscribing to Women's Health. Like it so far. And I like Men's Health too, beanbaggie, my hubby is always asking where I put his issue!

I just bought a sub to Women's Health and Fitness. I really enjoy it.
WHFMag
I like Oxygen too and just bought one yesterday but I haven't had a chance to read all of it yet.

There's lots of good ones out there... I like Shape or Fitness... They have a lot of mini workout ideas, healthy recipes, and all the advertisements are for healthy alternatives for other foods.
Cosmo. Try out some of their sex positions. You'll burn like 2384832 calories. :) Kidding. But yeah, I agree with Cooking Light.
